Ridley isn't hard to explain. The ending for Zero Mission is an incomplete robot, not Ridley. After Metroid, the space pirates recovered Ridley's remains and revived him by turning him into a cyborg. That's Meta Ridley that we fight in Prime. We don't see him die in Prime, he falls off the cliff still alive. He falls into the generator shaft in Prime 3 and again we don't see him die which is why we see him again at the end of the game. Super Metroid is the only one that is hard to explain but he's clearly less stable as evident from the fact that he's crumbling at the end of the battle, so I'd chalk it up to the space pirates recovering the remains again. In Other M, he's a clone and that was actually a pretty big part of the story. In Fusion he's not Ridley but an X parasite.
I don't think any of you have actually played the games because half of that is explained in the games.

Heavy rain had cut magical element where heros coma and greif creates psychological link to the killer. But they kept the act 1 bits, making no sense when the rest are removed. Also there's videos of nightmare levels where he drowns the same way/place as the victims. But sony wanted to integrate motion controls.
Also theres was planned dlc for the reporter girl, also cut.
Otherwise, quatic dreams makes visually great games with hortible gameplay, story, and characters cause of David Cage. I dont want to own any of his games, and detroit looks great and all, but that's gonna be the only compliment its gonna get on release (track record.

Ridley in the first Metroid just got injured.
Ridley in Super Metroid was properly killed and the rest of the body exploded with the planet.
Metroid Prime is not canon so don't bother, Ridley there is just fan-service.
Ridley in Metroid Other M is a clone the Galactic Federation created with cell samples impregnated in Samus suit searching for Metroid cells (that's why she is so shocked to see him again, he was DEAD.
Ridley in Fusion is the parasite X mimicking the corpse of the Ridley clone the Federation collected after being killed by Queen Metroid in Metroid Other M.
Hope this info helps anyone.

I thought phoenix downs revive k. o'd party members; as in near death/ unconsious/ still alive.
if we take into account battle damage & stuff like well no one would survive that big sword; he dead (even though it literally says k. o) - with the summons there shouldn't much of the cities or caves left over & probably many.
Hell if you want to take into account dumb battle stuff; sephiroth can cast supernova multiple times & each time a meteor will destroy the same planets; & it only manages to damage your 3 party members. plot holez

When Sephiroth killed Aerith he used the Masumi blade which causes %100 damage killing you instantly and can cut through steel like nothing on top of that it wasn't actually Sephiroth it was Jenova in the form of Sephiroth. Also they were in the Lifestream which caused her spirit to be instantly absorbed into it which if this didn't happen she wouldn't have become one with the earth and summon the white materia which saves the planet! Plus phoenix down only revived you when knocked out or close to death I believe

The Aeris one isn't a plot hole at all. She may have been stabbed but she was still alive. Cloud buried (or rather sank) her alive. He was the only one to check the body so it's not like anyone could call him out on it. Why did he do that? Simple. He was still under Sephiroth's control. Just like he was when he handed over the Black Materia the first time, the second time and when he almost killed Aeris right before the tragic scene happened.

The Heavy Rain plot hole is the result of cut content.
Spoilers ahead
It's revealed that Scott Shelby is the Oragami Killer and that he was there the day Jason, Ethan's other son, died. It was in that instance where Ethan and Shelby develop a psychic link due to them both going through similar traumatic experiences. So whenever Shelby would commit a murder/kidnapping, that's what would cause Ethan's blackouts.

What about Resident Evil 4 where Osmund Saddler opened his mouth and spilled his diabolical plot to Leon?
His plan was to infect and or mutate the president's daughter and send her back home to infect the government. So why didn't he keep that a secret from Leon and let him rescue her?
His plan could have went smooth if he just kept his mouth shut and didn't try to kill him.

+Looper Phoenix Down don't revive anyone! That item is to revive characters from K. O. They are not dead, they are knock out! It's a completely different thing. Final Fantasy have bad english translations in many regions! Normally the item says Revive character or some shit like that. But is not for reviving! Its for heal from the Knock Out status.
