The Best Opening Scenes In Superhero Movies Amol: Tim Burton's Gothic Movies are Iconic, no Doubt whatsoever about it. But. his Batman movies are not among them. They are as Cheesy and Campy as they come. Just wishful thinking of setting in the Brutal Environments of the Novels 'The Killing Joke ' or 'The Dark Knight Returns' does not make it happen so. Batman is the Real Face and Bruce Wayne is the Facade that covers it. Unfortunately Burton's Batman and the wimpy, jerky Michael Keaton was none of the Two. All the following Animated Series of Batman, starting with the year 1992 till today and also the Christopher Nolan's Movies flesh out the Character in Depth and capture the Soul of Batman perfectly.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier. That opening not only tells you all you need to know about Steve Rogers (making it unnecessary to have seen the first movie, but lays out an important relationship for the movie to come; in an entertainingly measly 3 minutes. This great scene is basic, straightforward, efficient, well-acted, character building.

There was a Black superhero movie before Black Panther. Just like there was a female superhero movie before Wonder Woman. People seem to have a very selective memory.
On a side note, one of my favorite opening is BvS, Wayne Murders/Beautiful Lie, mostly because of the combination of the score and the cinematography.

I'll give it to Blade, though there are some corkers on this list. The rave scene is still the best house music scene in film history. Plus, Blade is the first proper Marvel comic film that re-ignited the superhero genre to this day after the disaster that was Batman and Robin the previous year (1997.

What about the Power Rangers? the awesome CGI aside, finding Zordon was the RED RANGER who also just so happened to be portrayed by Bryan Cranston had been defeated by Rita Repulsa who was the GREEN RANGER, who had also defeated a weird/cool alien YELLOW RANGER was all sorts EPIC.

Yeah, so x2 openings scene with nightcralwer, X-men days of future past and Logan's opening scenes were no big deal? What about the opening of winter soldier? Hell, even origins Wolverine's opening scene was kickass (overall movie wasn't so good though. The wolverine?

that opening fight scene from first Blade movie remains one of the best-choreographed fight scenes of cinema history. pure genius, even from the directing point of view. its definitely up there with fight scenes from Matrix or Bruce Lee movies.

Blade was immense when it was released. Anti hero, black and the 90s. Im so glad I was born in the early 80s because the 90s/early00s were some amazing times for music and film. Garage nation anyone with a side order of gross out comedy lol

agree with the list, but replace deadpool with thor raganarok. that scene with thor kicking fire giant ass as the immigrant song sounds in the background was one of the most awesome scenes i've ever watched.
deadpool is overated.
