Critically Hated Movies That Are Actually Awesome paul: Thats why i dont like rotten tomatoes there were a few movies i watched and i disagreed with the ratings like worlds end or at worlds end the one with they jump from pub to pub got a really really good rating amd i honestly thought it sucked really bad vs star trek into darkness i feel that one was a much better just in my opinion i even though conjuring was better and if i remember correctly rotten tomatoes graded them lower then worlds end i was so mad. I quit going by ratings anyway cause i noticed everyones always like movie of the year on every single movie. Plus i loved knowing and i also think people just hate cage in general i mean yea not all his films were great but not all them sucked either

I think Vanilla Sky is a masterpiece, and I have it and the Spanish original. I think Cameron does such a better job of making the statement in this film about decisions you make and their consequences(how you treat others. I just wish Constantine had more to do with his name, whereas his name could have been smith or jones. Constantine was the first Roman leader to recognize Christianity. but it really has no bearing in the story. I really enjoyed the movie The Fall. Fantastic performance from the little girl, and a great story.

I loved The Cell! Great story, great ideas for things in his mind and great acting!
I did enjoy Constantine, but I wouldn't say it's at the top of my list.
I didn't see Knowing, but I will say, Nicolas Cage does have some great movies, like Matchstick Men and Gone in 60 Seconds for example.
From what I see here of The Majestic, doesn't look like my kind of movie, but Jim Carrey is an awesome actor! I especially loved The Truman Show and remember him in High Strung, an other movie I love!

I loved knowing. It is one of the very few sci-fis where the protagonist neither accepts and believes everything happening around him is destined or magical blatantly, nor does he ignores and denies the facts and science behind those happenings. He is calm and he collects evidence to understand whats going on and then he finally presents them to his colleague once he is sure enough. Like a true scientist would do. Not many directors portray a scientist like this.

There's a scene in The Rise of Skywalker where Rey is in a dark place with multiple images of herself and echo when they speak. It always reminds me of a scene from The Cell where Vince Vaughn talks with the women sitting on the ground who resemble each other and do that same type of echo speak.
Anyway, I agree with all the movies on this list except for Vanilla Sky. I just couldn't get into that one. Oh well.

1. Cell was good.
2. The Hunted ended terribly. It would have been better with the Gov actually at fault.
3. Constantine overall was good even with Keanu Reeves in it.
4. Tired of Cage, but did not see this.
5. Did not see Super.
6. Did not see.
7. Did not see.
8. Overall I liked this.
A collection of movies most of which have overrated actors in them.

SCI/FI. It's not a given.
Some peoples just don't get it and some just don't have the ability to imagine.
Take: Blade Runner 2049. It flopped because of this eager to action and a winning end.
In my mind the best movie ever!
Again. it's the smaller brains who comment on what they don't understand.

The Hunted is really great. Just about 30 minutes too short. I feel like a lot was left on the cutting floor. A longer movie would have fleshed out the characters more but maybe thats just because Im used to this age of cinema where every movie is at least 2 hours long as opposed to an 1hr 30min.

Movies I like that many critics didnt: Knowing, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, 30 Days of Night, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Mummy (1999, National Treasure, Tommy Boy, The Boondock Saints, Face/Off, Dragonfly, Legion, Priest, Dantes Peak, Mystery Alaska

I haven't seen all the movies on the list but I agree completely with Constantine. Loved that movie. I wasn't a fan of The Cell. I thought it was a crappy Silence of the Lambs wannabe. Then again, I find I just can't take Lopez' acting ever. She just doesn't work for me.
