Between preachy leftist political biases, sociopolitical agendas, and blatant disrespect of fandoms that have lasted decades, Hollywood is dying due to its own arrogance.

Uprising was mediocre at best

Solo was underwhelming and boring

Battle Angle was I have no clue cause I didnt even it know it existed
The Predator was average and the child was the worst thing even
Captains State I have never heard of
Darkest Minds I have never heard of but sounds crap
Mortal Engines I have never heard of but looks good
Code-8 I have never heard of and looks like a X-men rip off
So 1 of these movies blew me away.

I am bored by the silliness of those Big Critter movies like Jurassic Park, etc.
The reality is that ANY large animal that ever lived or ever COULD live could be taken down by a 12. 7 mm Barrett rifle, or, in the absolute worst case, a small Carl Gustav recoilless rifle. Big Critters simply do not represent any threat to Humanity any longer. To the contrary, Humanity is the huge threat to Big Critters such as elephants, hippopotamuses, rhinoceros, lions, tigers, etc.

Pacific Rim Uprising WAS ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE. They took what made the first film SOMEWHAT ENJOYABLE ON AN AVERAGE LEVEL and squeezed out that turd as a power rangers sequel.
You can season anything with spices and/or unique flavor, but if its shit youre still serving up SHIT. Movie was shit, no matter anything else youve done to shit youre still looking at something thats absolutely not enjoyable.

As of 20 Aug 2018, ALL of these pic releases were real turds, just some more expensive to make than others. And of the ones upcoming, I highly suspect that they will be turds also, especially the one about moving cities.

All of these films lack a necessary plot that holds all the different visual scenes together. Plot wise some are completely devoid, some are just really incredibly basic, some just cater for kids. Not a good year for sci fi
