The Untold Truth Of Zootopia
video description
It was written well (mistakes in editing I can forgive) and the overall feel just was right: not too judgy, not too preachy. just enough to be believable. I didn't get impression that Nick and Judy had a blossoming romance. but after 2yrs of watching YouTube vids on anything about Zootopia, I can appreciate the sentiment.
Quite a few YouTube vids gave names to various characters in Zootopia. Some old, some newly created by these artist. I would like these new names carried over into the next movie. they just seem to fit.
Do I ship (aka: relationship) Judy and Nick? Sometimes. It could go either way; Nick and Judy become a couple or they become close friends. Both ideas could easily be successful. I favor the friendship. it will allow the fraternization talk to keep going. And just as in the many YouTube Zootopia vids, Judy could refer to Nick by his Hustler past and Nick could refer to Judy as country bumpkin. Nick's street smarts complements Judy's optimism and attention to detail (like when she discovered the Pawsicle in the case file as her only clue.
A new Locker Room scene could be hilarious. Either using Nick (being sly and mischievous) or Judy (being naive or overeager to tell Nick something. I could see a new female officer (Linx maybe) who could deftly handle males (just as interesting as Nick. who gets Judy out of her mistake in entering the male locker room. Having more police officers interacting with Nick and Judy would greatly improve the next movie.
I agree with some here (like Folker46) that the next movie needs a new theme, new characters (I'd like to see a Gomer Pyle greasemonkey at a small gas station. not necessarily a monkey), visit Mr. Big and his daughter / grandchild (and perhaps get a ride from Mr. Manchas), get a new officers who (like Judy) is first of its species to be a police officer. maybe even work with Nick and Judy, and a new case which involves traveling to a couple new areas of Zootopia (we haven't seen all 12-Ecosystems.
Perhaps we could see how religion and psychiatry works in the next movie. Panda monks walking the streets going about praying and/or comforting the homeless, bears as shrinks counseling Nick about his childhood phobias (and perhaps guiding Judy about her new urges to start a family; she should be reaching that age. Nick and Judy could be given (sometimes unwanted) advice about mix species dating throughout the next movie, sometimes conflicting and sometimes from a completely unexpected sources.
These are just a few of my thoughts.

I still don't fully understand this claim that it's supposed to about race. I think rather than talking strictly about race, it touches more in the broad subject of fear, preconceptions and judging others (which can be done in a bunch of other different ways. The reason I couldn't ever get behind the arguement that it's strictly about race relations is the question I kept thinking of: who represents who in this movie? Minority to prey and Majority to predator, or Majorty to prey and Minority to predator? The answer I'm sure is dependent on who's answering the question. IDK, maybe like most people I'm just overthinking this. (Sometimes it's hell inside my head)

In my theory, the sad truth about zootopia are the deleted scenes. Why? It's because most deleted scenes include taming collars which they make predators wear. It is used to command a predator to attack preys and other animals. If a predator (such as polar bears, tigers, etc) doesnt obey on what it is commanded to do, the collar will then zap them. In zootopia (not in real life) these collars are mostly worn by foxes (foxes are the most untrustworthy predators for them, polar bears, and tigers. So yeah, i think disney didnt want us, the viewers, to see them suffer.
Please. Just let them be happy.

I don't really care what the truth is about Zootopia, I still liked it, and I always, WILL! Life has loads of truths hidden from us, but that doesn't keep us or a lot of people from liking something that they truly love. Frozen even has it's hidden truths. Every disney movie or movies have their hidden truths or what this or that actually meant. You like something, you enjoy it. Don't have a depressing video of, Oh! We're being lied to, life has its lies! My point? Stop focusing on the sad things, and enjoy life, life's too short to be depressed.

I think adding controversial themes like the drug war made this moive alto more enjoyable for the alder audience. i went in with litte to no expectations thinking that im going to mindlesy watch georgeous and cute animations, but the substance and the seriousnes of the movie resulted in an absolute blast and im still waiting for a darker spin off or shortmovie, the shock collar story line sounds awsome!

Im a furry
But i dont think zootopia was aimed to furrys,
Furrys impose anthropomorphic animals - humanoid animals
Yes zootopia imploys anthro animals aswell but like looper said, basically animals walking upright, talking, and also in clothes. Even nick wildes voice actor said so!
Whilst furrys furry characters are, animals who r basically merged with animals
Difference

I think after Disney bought Lucusfilms and Marvel comics they brought in the right people and figured out how to deal with online fandoms. That the directors, writers and artists of Zootopia had conversations with fans and Furries via Twitter and Facebook before the film opened was refreshing after years of Disney and Pixar putting up a brick wall between them.

I had trouble figuring out just who was being discriminated against Judy Hopps was was discriminated against for wanting to be the first bunny on the police force, and the mayor's assistant was looked down upon for being a lamb. But then it was reaped predators were the ones discriminated against. If that's the case, why was a lion elected mayor?

How can you get racism wrong? There are many forms of racism, some of them are even more Batshit crazy than others. One guy I knew some years ago told me and a horrified girl, that according to him bad human qualities (like lazyness or violence) radiate from dark skin pigmentation itself. Not DNA, not culture, not upbringing, only skin colour.

Racial part is bull at least in zootopia as they said it had a very dark story to began with. I mean come on I have standard for this shit but for a kids movie they did good on it. Life's not perfect but Nick was a hustler you have to make a living. It is hinted no just to pred-prey. Nobody trust a what do you expect?
