Good movie. But. I feel someone is trying to communicate with humanity. It was very underrated movie in my opinion. That's is because not many people have the level of spirituality to discern it.

I know it's a sci-fi movie but perpetual motion breaks 1 or more laws of thermodynamics. 1st law is you cannot get something from nothing. There is no free lunch 2nd law entropy always increases. Order to disorder. Hot always goes to cold. Energy will always spread out. Here is a way of thinking about energy. The reason you can extract energy from a system like the engine in your car is because there is a temperature gradient. The is a big difference in temperature between the cylinder in your engine (where the fuel and oxygen are ignited) and the outside temperature. If the outside temperature was the same as the temperature in the cylinder it would not move your piston, it would have no reason to. The 3rd law just states that if the temperature of a system reaches 0 degrees Kelvin (absolute 0) energy cannot be extracted. There would not be and motion of the atoms. Snowpiercer breaks the first and second laws.

Think you totally missed that 'leadership corrupts'. Gilliam's generosity only came after so much cannibalism early on. Curtis idolizing Gilliam is then so shocked he was in cahoots with Wilford all along. And when Gilliam tells Curtis if he ever does reach Wilford, don't let him speak - cut out his tongue. Is not so much to cover Gilliam's past with Wilford, but the fact that Wilford is such a politician he could bend Curtis's hatred and put him in charge of everything. And it almost worked! And was Curtis more livid that Wilford was using children to compensate for missing parts, or realizing he himself would have to totally go against his morals in order to keep the train and humanity going? And ironic that the 'security expert' that is supposed to safe guard and protect all the sections is the one willing to lose all power and control for mere chance.

In my opinion, we humans do not seek to conquer nature, but to work with it and feed from it. That's what renewable energy is for. I think an underground city that grew crops, via indoor, vertical farms, could last indefinitely, especially if it used a system of Artificial Geothermal Energy, where it harnessed the heat of the Earth's core. I mean, the Earth's core is one of the most natural things in the world. Otherwise, we wouldn't have volcanoes. The point is an underground city can last indefinitely because nature is eternal, as you said, and it's natural for creatures to live underground. The question, Mr. Looper, is what's so unnatural about indoor, vertical farms?

The only left is the Asian girl and African boy, the african boy forcely to worked for them basically happen in real world, and the movie is all about discrimination of the poor and rich people, poor people is on the tail and the rich people is on the front.
And the engine is the World who basically controlled by rich people.
And think about this Mr. Wilford was secretly talked to gilliam whos the leader of the people on the tail side. It's actually how our world worked.

I like to think the Train represented Earth and blowing the side gate open, which everyone thought I suicide, was leaving earth to fix our problems.
Cuz if they all stopped the train and invested time into leaving earth and exploring the outside, theyll actually find food and water. And everyone wouldve survived.
So like if we all just stop war and work together to leave earth, we could all avoid the apocalypse.

I thought protein bars were mashed up children. Then I thought Willy's. I mean, I thought Wilfred's steak was the flesh of children. Honestly I was just really glad the children were still alive. And it is predicted that sooner or later, the world would accept insects as a significant protein source when it runs out of chicken and cattle, so I'll take protein bars over fried cockroaches any day.

I dont know how those two are going to repopulate the earth by themselves. I remember there being a lot more people stepping into the snow when I first watched it. But I guess not lol. And I dont get what happened to the main guy and the girls dad since they were all huddled together. I guess they died because they were protecting the other two. I also dont know why they blew up the door
