Awful Performances By Great Actors Murmurs: Yeah. I mean what I'm about to say may also apply to the other movies, but Padme Amidala was one of the worst-written characters of the Prequels: She's an experienced politician, but also a naive, submissive girlie? I mean people can turn a blind eye on the ones they love - but Anakin was a creepy douche long before she felt like this.
But hey, which character in the Prequels wasn't just awful? From hey there! -Obiwan over I hate sand-Anakin to Love leads to fear leads to frustration leads to vanilla ice-cream! - Yoda. They only one you could really enjoy in this movie is Palpatine, because he doesn't have any inner conflict at all and celebrates it. But every single conflict anyone has in this movie is just such a catastrophe. The misleading dogmatism of the Jedi, the relationship between Obiwan and Anakin, the inner conflict of Anakin, the political schemes in the background.
They will always stay the worst part of the Star Wars movies.

i loved mathew mchonihay in the dark tower: ( pretty creepy to me. and i don't usually find movies or anything really at all creepy.
Sort of like someone so powerful they don't need to do anything. he doesn't seem discouraged always calm voice with a thick accent (an accent i always associate with relatively nice/ very just people) its like hes not trying at all to be creepy hes just doing his thing. Just as if he is so powerful he doesnt have to try everyone just shits bricks anyway. I really liked it.

Some of them are just bad movies altogether. and poor Johnny Depp seems to have lost it altogether. Charlie in the Chocolate Factory, Alice in Wonderland, Mordecai. even Jack Sparrow. It's all the same character each and every time. Some crazy mixture of Stone Face Buster Keaton ( who I suspect he must be a huge fan of) and Marcel Marceau on dope. What happened to Gilbert Grape or the secret Window, or the seventh book?

Aw, come on, seriously Natalie Portman? Star Wars is what made her famous. Granted she did a better job in Anywhere But Here, when she was 15, but still I thought her performance in SW The Phantom Menace was good. True in SW episodes 2 and 3, she didn't come across as well, but I blame the writing for that.

This isnt necessarily bad acting or bad performances, its more poorly written dialogue and poorly written characters within awkward movies. Theres only so much you can bring to a character and a performance, as an actor, with a badly written script and one dimensional or awkwardly written characters

When a good actor fails and ends up in one of those bad performances videos, its 99% of the time because of the script. A movie starts with the script, if its bad, the production will be bad. Same goes for actors. How could they make shit text work? As much as they could want to if its shit its shit

Awful Performances By Great Actors - and the first one up is Mathew McConaughey. Not a great actor by any means. I can't think of a single time when he even achieved mediocrity. The others are, of course, great actors who in these instances are not working with the best material.

Nope nope nope nope nope. Cate Blanchet did not ham it up in Ragnarok. I feel it was a misstep, faux-pas of her's to sign up for that role after Irina Spalko. I thought you'd mention how she smashed Lady Galadriel? That one is worth mentioning, beside the acclaimed roles.

Jupiter Rising was silly and a real giggle fest with me and my friends throwing out better lines and tossing popcorn at the TV screen, but Eddie Redmayne did a pretty good impression of the reasonable soft spoken crazy until he Snapped. Good job, even if the movie wasn't!

Every film on this list is camp besides Matthew McConaughey's. It isn't fair to roles. Yes some are bad, but they were all supposed to be over the top, particularly the accents. Blanchett and Redmayne's roles were pulp homage and Okja was purposefully absurd.
