Elseworlds! Let's say it works initially then when the movies with the same character played by different people in separate stories come out what do DC and WB do when the audience prefers one portrayal over the other especially if the one they prefer is not the one that will go on to feature in a continuity? Also what happens when the audience get character fatigue and disassociation due to seeing the same character in multiple films portrayed differently with different stories to keep up with in a relatively short space of time? The dollars will probably poor in at least for a time so I guess the companies won't have to care whether their strategy is genius or much more likely based on past efforts a hot mess which is what they've shown to be the thing they are most consistent at doing in all areas of production. Doesn't matter much to me though considering the wealth of characters and stories at Dc's disposal it is a shame.

I enjoyed Leto's joker, it was a modern / unique/ more comical spin on the character, all the haters just want same old adaptation of joker over and over again. Don't get me wrong he wasn't the best joker ever but it was a breathe of fresh air, his joker fits well with it's context, same goes for suicide squad film in general, it was a fun movie wasn't meant to be a masterpiece genre defining film. Looking forward to Future films with Leto's joker

I got midway through this vid and realized I really don't care. Look, Marvel did it right. All DC has to do is copy that approach. Do standalone hero films in your own gritty style and leave the quips to Marvel. Establish your own feel, but follow the pattern. Don't try to do an ensemble until people know the characters. It's too confusing.
The Batman films were excellent. Wonder Woman was great. The other movies? Train wrecks.

being that there are 3 jokers there should be more than one actor in the role. the depth of story and the multiversity are some reasons dc comics are so much better than marvel comics. cant wait for Val Zod. problem is people want mindless action and humor instead of compelling stories and action with purpose in their superhero movies. going forward dc is going to have to dumb it down like jay z did in the 90s to sell records. damn shame

JL is 'the' joker, JP's is an origins movie, almost like in an alternate universe/reality, so said director todd or whoever; it's not even 'canon', if ever one of the movies was
for the remainder of the cinematic universe's course, it is jared 'version' the one that'll remain, cus he's the 'present' one

I still wish DC would have Leto be jason Todd, it's the perfect way for both jokers to fit into the universe. Hence the hahaha jokes on you, written on Robin's suit. Batman kills phoenix's joker cause he thinks he killed Robin jason Todd, only to be reveled he just tortured him and Jason Todd is now insane and takes the mantle of joker after the original joker dies. That also sets up why batman is so angry in b vs S

WB would have to pay Leto a fortune if they actually decided to make him to be Robin in order for Phoenix to come in as Joker. That would be like admitting the Leto Joker was a failure and it would be even more bitter for Leto to swallow that pill. Had they put some easter eggs in Suicide Squad pointing him to to Robin then that would have been genius but now it seems like a forced move out of desperation

Idk much about Phoenix's joker, I've seen some on set filming videos of his version, but the face paint, over all mannerisms remind me to much of Ledgers version with a more clown side to it. But that is based off very little at this point. I guess we will see how it plays out.
