TV Scenes Acted So Poorly We Can't Forget Them Shiirow: I guess you didnt do your research the whole over the top thing wasnt in the script and Alphonso did it as a joke, but they filmed it and left it in the finished episode. the episode was meant to end with Carlton running offscreen, screaming with a 4th wall break by Will saying gotcha to the camera. the whole scene was just that hilarious and the reason it wasnt cut.
Even worse, you chose the Gorn fight of all things for Star Trek, Shatner had far worse horribly acted cheesy scenes in the original series than that.

Carlton is Laurence Olivier in the acting department compared to Elizabeth Berkley. After sitting through Showgirls and her earlier Saved By The Bell role I would have to say that she was without a doubt the most deplorably woeful actor to ever hijack TV and Movie screens. Her performance in Showgirls was so virulently abyssmal that she should have been charged with grievous bodily harm for assaulting people's eyes and ears with her grotesque attempt at trying to act. Thank god that Showgirls sunk her career for good.

all Star Trek installments are famous for poor acting - they couldn't find decent actors even for the leading roles (Shatner, Kate Mulgrew, Avery Brooks, Rene Auberjonois, Marina Sirtis etc. I'm always puzzled by the fact: so much competition in Hollywood, and roles go to people who can't act. But the prize, in my opinion, goes to Tea Leoni in Madam Secretary (didn't watch beyond pilot - her so called acting in final scene was beyond awful)

Saved by the bell was a kids show lol! How serious do you think we took it? We laughed, we cried and if you were a young strapping lad like myself you just wanted to see the ladies, we could've given two rat turds about the acting, which by the way is the scene you used for your video tag, now we're there badly acted scenes in saved by the bell, without a doubt, but we just didn't care, hormones don't care.

Most of the comments are about Carlton(who, I always found annoying especially with that dumbass dance)but that scene didn't belong on here. The SBTB episode, made me sad back then when Zak was holding her and she boohoo cried in his arms. I was a teenager already being horribly abused, so, watching other teens in a bad situation, made me sad.

To be fair, that wasn't Shatner in substantial portions of the Gorn fight. And I suspect that the performers were under the impression that the action was going to be sped-up in the editing room. The guy in the Gorn suit probably couldn't see/hear a damned thing, and might've passed-out from heat exhaustion if he'd moved quickly.

Uuuuuh no to the last entry. I was in front of a TV watching the first airing of that Fresh Prince episode. Carltons scene was hilarious and especially but-gusting to fans when he broke the fourth wall and ran into the studio audience. It was supposed to be way over the top and he definitely hit it out of the park.

1. The grandmother on Parenthood. Overacted everything with often inappropriate emotion.
2. The blonde woman from the L Word. Wife of the one with brown hair. To this day I have not seen a more unconvincing performance from an actor.
3. The black guy who lost his father on Siren. Just lol.

To be fair, Carlton made a big transition as the series went on where his personality is concerned. In the first 2 seasons or so he was played like a snobby know-it-all rich kid which played against Will's real world character. Then he became a dork. The example given here, though - naaaaaah.
