If they wanted to show how strong the villain is, there are better ways to do that (for shock value: is she even the strongest x-men? Not that I recall.
Besides, you can't feel how threatening the villain is in that picture. maybe try another angle? mmmm. Nevertheless the whole picture is not good enough to depict the movie.
And the problem is not that the person getting choked is a woman. I would not have like that the movie poster for Avengers Infinity War showed Loki's getting choked to death either (even if it is a more realistic choking. Yes, it's something that happens in the movie, but Infinity War is more than that.
And the poster about the movie Mother. haven't watched that movie, but if it's a movie about violence against women, then it makes sense, thoguh I would have chosen a better picture (is that Jennifer Lawrence. really? I wouldn't have guess) or try a better way to depict this. Moreover, it's not engaging enough. on the contrary, it looks almost boring -_-

People really get butthurt over Fin? Its not the only difference. Kylo Ren also faces forward as well as the clear enhancements to BB8, Harrison, and Carrie. Its not a race thing its a selling point thing. They like cute things in Asia so they made BB8 larger and returning big name cast members might favor better there then an unknown whos not the star of the movie. I mean Harrison and Carrie are almost as big as Rey and she IS the main character plus they slimed down her face and figure a good amount too. You cant say its the only thing when its not. I mean for Petes sake Poe and Chewy were seemingly cut out entirely.

I thought this was a video for technical mistakes left behind on the making process. But this is nothing but a whining nobody cares out of context opinion. If the movie is about a girl being abused physically, what is the poster going to be about? Migrating birds? . And if that Fat Cow wanted to look 80 pounds lighter, is because women themselves set the bar very high when it comes to weight. How can it be degrading to women when they themselves set the standards? You barely have 1/4 of your ratings bad. What does that tell you? . Get real man! . And make videos about things that matter a little bit more

I've never understood why the X-Men poster was so hated. It is a violent, superpower smash super power movie. It makes me really think people like Rose only see women as victims, and is outraged when others will not support the 'women are always and only victims' line. It is a large male choke holding a smaller woman, yes. But Jennifer has her game face on, she is not cowering or battered. She is facing a larger power, and doing it with style. It makes me so sad people only see gender, and only see victims when looking at women and only see violence when looking at men.

Though the Papyrus font isn't exactly the most eyeball massaging of fonts I frankly wasn't over bothered by the poster. But then that was because the film was complete and utter shite, overrated, overhyped, dull, derivative and far from the groundbreaking masterpiece some claimed. Should James Cameron choose Comic Dans for the million sequels I certainly won't be bothered as unless a miracle happens they're sure to be as mindnumbingly shite as the original.

The automatic assumption of racism, just because the actor is black is getting tiring. The China version of the star wars poster has many differences the villain is now facing forward the rebel pilot & chewy are gone r2 & c3po are more visible & the new characters are centered with the original characters including the Falcon behind the round bot.

So if Apocalypse was a woman it would have been ok? But violence? Ok lets cut violence from the poster. But the movie shows him beating several female characters, ok ban the movie. But there are other movies with violence. Ok stop making movies. Bu there is violence in real life too. Damnit stop raising your child into politically correct dimwits.

What kind of freak gives two shits about which font is used? Those same people will be pissed about nearly anything else a moment later. Let them suffer. They must enjoy it. Obvious exceptions for unreadable text due to font size or font color and background color. The job of the font is to quickly convey text. Do that and be out of the way.

The selling point for mother isnt that a women is being beat up, its showing the physical damage and change that the character goes through by showing both sides of her in contrast, this is key to the film. Also Why is everything that shows a woman getting hurt terrible yet if a man gets shown in pain on a poster its fine, double standards?

I really hates the reason for X Men Apocalypses poster. If Apocalypse was choking a man then no one would care, but since it's woman then we all have to start freaking out and saying that it's not right for women to be depicted like this, but then they want to be equally represented in media. Hypocritical much?
