I feel that you failed to mention that this is in fact PART 2 of a movie. Unsurprisingly titled SKYLINE
You MUST see SKYLINE before you see Beyond Skyline. They have compeltely different stories, but the yare linked and withotu the link, if you have not seen the first, you wont really get the second as much.
I loved the Skyline movies and would watch a third if they did one.
More cheese than a cheddar factory but still great fun. .And thats what its all about is it not?

I've been meaning to check out The Perfect Host and I trust the Koreans to deliver so I'll definitely watch those two.
If I hadn't seen the short that Boys in the Trees was based on, I might've enjoyed it more but I did see the short and the movie pales in comparison.
The Boy wasn't BAD but there's nothing special about it. The Gift, too, is pretty run-of-the-mill 'til you get to the ending. Then you're left to wonder: did he or didn't he?

Re: Sky Line. Thanks for telling me the story line. You told me enough to know that it's a zombie flick. I won't waste my time with that shit. Teens might like it, but I like real drama. I have a flick for you made in Korea, it's called Mother. One hell of a sleeper of a movie. The less you know what to expect the better it will be to watch. One of the best writing jobs I've seen in years, real drama, good acting. If you can't read subtitles then learn to.

I got pretty teary with pandora. As an asian american who sticks close to their traditions, living with their elderly parent(s) as an adult is not easy. Theyre very stubborn in their old ways. But just know that they will do everything they can to make sure their kids are ok even if they dont show it.

The Perfect Host was an excellent movie in reasonably realistic human horror. I'm normally don't like scary movies, but I certainly respect The Perfect Host for doing it well. The very end was kind of meh, but didnt take away from the movie as a whole.

The Boy was a HUGE letdown! The commercials played it up like it was a supernatural story, only for it to be lame man-child living the the walls of the house. I was so ticked-off when I realized there was nothing supernatural going on at all.

I dont know if it is still on there but what about Equilibrium? Matrix Style action and story, All special effects are quality and it has Boromir from lord of the rings and Christian Bale Being more badass than batman.

Beyond Skyline & The Boy! COME ON! I usually look to you guys for suggestions or to hear your thoughts but Ive gotta say I disagree. The other movies in the list are worth checking out but the 1st two are so bad!

Beyond Skyline is a sequel to Skyline (which was worse than Beyond Skyline. Beyond skyline is well worth your time if you like Sci-Fi. The Boy is crap. The Perfect Host and Boys in Tree are both fantastic films.

Beyond Skyline? Is that a sequel to Skyline? The credits of that movie looked more interesting than the movie (no joke, there was some super weird compilation of events after the story)
