What You May Not Know About The Mandalorian
video description
Post Empire- Pre First Order just doesnt appeal to everyone. Luke Skywalker runs away to a secluded planet because his teenage nephew and some padawans turn on him, killing all his remaining students. Ughh okay. There are no other Jedi Knights by the time this takes place? I hope Asoka is having better luck than Master Skywalker. Han is out racing in some sort of space NASCAR championship series, Princess Leia is putting together a new government, and authors are writing her character every time like shes still this sassy hot headed teenager when in fact shes 60 plus years old and has a force power called Mary Poppins Thats the new canon timeline? The sequel trilogy and everything that comes with it is pretty weak storytelling. I do hope that Dave Filoni is put in charge of Lucasfilm someday. Dave knows what George envisioned for the franchise. If Disney would leave him alone to make the decisions wed probably see some really great storytelling again.

Star Wars is not Star Trek.
So, no need to have a TV series at all even for the low-key characters. This will surely result in low quality overexposure of Star Wars Universe and subsequently it'll die.
The reason for original success of Star Wars was amazing storytelling in a very short span of time(usually 2hours) keep it that way only.
Although, Star Wars now has comic presence and all but still Disney has to understand they aren't comic book characters.
Stop copying Marvel.
Star Trek was a different ballgame altogether. It dealt with different philosophy which needed time to cook over a period of time and hence TV format was good for it. And it remained in TV format for a considerable amount of time too. So, now they could expand in movies telling stories that requires a lot less time and which doesn't conform to the episodic nature. That's good for business and a better business decision.
Turning Star Wars towards TV is a bad idea evem if they hire best directors in the business to do so.

Jango Fett held the effin title of Mandalor. And you're going to say he wasn't mandalorian! Yeah ok. Who do you think they got to train the clone commandos? It was mandalorians that Jango ordered to come & help him. And boba fett was indeed one too.
Becoming a mandalorian is leaving the life you have behind completely for the new one that awaits you. Doesn't matter if you're human or alien. You essentially are reborn into a new person, identity, way of life, family, & into a clan that is second only to the one who holds the title Mandalor, who is the leader of ALL mandalorians.
Clone wars didnt really represent their culture, and rebels kinda tried a little. But I hope this live action show will portray the real grittiness & show how they really are.

Even in the new canon, Jango was a Mandalorian. The people of Mandalore dont recognize their own who turn to mercenary work or bounty hunting (something that stems from their long history as honored warriors in the lore. Hes more or less a renegade and a self-imposed exile, and the people in power during his lifetime wouldnt recognize him as such, but nevertheless Jango was once among them.
He has very little history outside of Legends, but him being Mandalorian (or at least an ex-Mandalorian) plays a large role in the training and culture of the GAR clones during the Clone Wars and the legacy left for his son, Boba.
I really shouldnt care or know as much as I do about all of this.

YO! Jango Fett and therefore Boba are Mandolorians. Being mandolorian isn't about bloodlines as much as it is about family. Jango Fett was adopted at a young age by a Mando warrior by the name of Jaster Mereel and he grew up in their culture. He led them through one of their most trying times, The Mandolorian Civil War, as Mandolore, the single ruler of their homeworld. He was imprisoned by Jedi and never returned to Mandolore out of shame. He turned to a life of crime to make ends meet. The title of Mandolore was passed to Boba and only later in life did Boba reclaim his throne. (Expanded Universe)

The main problem that Disney has is that after, The last Jedi Joke of a Movie its going to be tough to get the Movie going ex Star Wars fans to buy back in to Star Wars the Royal Disregard and Flushing, that was given to all of Star Wars fans older hero's makes it pretty tough to not believe that Disney will not do it all over again simply because the live action Doll sales are down for one particular Character. The long and short is no matter what Disney does to gets fans back is going to be a monumental task and quite likely impossible to achieve.

This is full of so much wrong information, jango and boba are both mandalorians, the first order is not the empire and the empire never truely fell as they control the inner sphere planets while the new republic controls the outer sphere worlds, the first order comes from outside the fringe worlds and may even come from outside of the galaxy itself, and as long as the current situation of star wars remains the same it will bomb as everything has for them in recent times

I vaguely recall a fan theory, back in the mid-90s, that Boba Fett was a woman; a theory I never bought into - like a, whatever, kind of thing. But I see that this is a 'Mandalorian' possibility; this is to say, both men and woman played a part in this group of people. OK, I guess; maybe it is a way to finally put a woman behind the mask of the Boba Fett (theory) as another new character. G-d, I hope this isn't another one of Kathlene Kennedy's ideas; like Capt. Phasma.

With all the recent Star Wars disappointing movie releases, I would of preferred to see Disney explore the origins of the force. set over 2000 years before the Skywalker saga. A mini series could provide enough scope to explained how the force, Jedi's and the Sith came to be They don't need to keep moving in and out of the current time line as it stands, thats been done to death. They can tel an ancient story, with new characters and adventures. Just my opinion.

I cant see it being Sabine, the armour is too drab. But I do think it could be a female. depending on how inspired the makers are by the old EU. In the new Disney Canon male and female Mandalorians have different helmet and even armour styles. where as in the old Canon Mandalorians were often impossible to tell apart thanks to thair armour, even aliens were part of the Mandalorian culture because the race had long since died out. But again thats old Canon.
