Small Details You Missed In Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
video description
Because of the timelines it isn't actually possible unless there's a time turned involved
This is because in the original harry potter books we find out that dumbledore's family is him, his mum, his dad, his brother and his sister, until his dad is taken to azkaban where be ends up dying. When this happens dumbledore's sister is 11 years old and going off the timeline of fantastic beasts credance is 14 hears younger than she would be was she still alive meaning that dumbledore and credence can't have the same dad as he was already dead by the time credence would have been conceived and as for dumbledore's mother she dies a year or so after dumbledores father is taken to azkaban mean in she ala can't be one of credence's parents
She you put all this together it just shows that neither of albus's parents were alive during the year credence was born let alone 9 months before ie when he was concieved so credence cannot be a dumbledore unless there is a timeturner involved and these are kepy under lock and key by the ministry of magic meaning this is highly unlikely mraning chances are either this is a massive plot hole or Grindelwald is lying

I think its very likely the young Tom Riddle will have a large role is the last couple of fantastic beast movies and Nagini will become quite close with him especially if this story reveals that Tom trusted her so much to place his first Horcrux within in her it would be cool to meet Tom as a brilliant young wizard not unlike Harry only when he sees the power of Dumbledore and Grindelwald he decides he wants that plus it would be cool to find that he didn't take on his snake like appearance until he was resurrected. plus I would love to see Dumbledore employ Toms help to face off against Creedence in the final movie and we discover they once had a close relationship even if Dumbledore was suspicious of him it would reveal a great deal of regret for Dumbledore to think he failed twice and explain why he took a pre-emptive strike against the dark lord and we he choose to keep such a close eye on Harry and nurture him so as it would not happen a third time.

Did anyone figure out how Grindelwald knew that Credence was not Corvus Lestrange if the only person who knew that the real Corvus died/drowned was Leta Lestrange. It doesn't sound like she had any reason to tell anyone about this. Leta was working in the Ministry, so there is no chance that they could use Legilimency on her. I initially thought someone had put an Imperius Curse on her, made her tell this story so as to push Credence further into Grindelwald's trap. But we do see a flashback (the bogart scene, where she sees the baby-drowning-imagery. So it is unlikely that she lied that night. Grindelwald seemed confident about his plan right from the beginning. And this is the guy who thought Credence was a squib.
Also right before they all meet up at the Lestrange family tomb, we see two men replace (or place) the 'family-tree-book-of-sorts'. How is that piece of info going to be relevant? It can't not be relevant. What's the theory here?

You know you are a true potterhead when you've seen the movie once and didn't miss any of those not-so-small details. Nevertheless, I was very disappointed and distracted by the major and unnecessary time blooper with Professor McGonagall, who was not even born in the time the movie is set in.
I have a theory that the true identity Grindelwald reveals to Credence in the final scene is pure BS. Apart from the fact that this is exactly the kind of thing Grindelwald would come up with as to use a weak person's deepest needs and desires in order to manipulate them, Credence should be some 25 years younger than his alleged brother: by that time, Dumbledore's father was most probably already serving his life sentence in Azkaban for killing those Muggle bullies who ruined his daughter's life, and Dumbledore's mother had most probably already been accidentally killed by said daughter, as we learn in the main saga.

Grindelwald lied that he is in blood relation with dumbledore, thats not even possible from what we have learnt from books! When dumbledore died in the 7th edition Rita skeeter ought to publish a book revealing all his secrets, Grindelwald has been mentioned but no sought of so called Aurelius Dumbledore. this cant be hidden as she took all her material from bathilda bagshot who is another very old wizard n she revealed dumbledores all dark secrets, then why not this one. another thing, dumbledores father was sent to Azkaban coz he took revenge on the muggle kids for her daughter Ariana dumbledore, credence was a teenager, so he should be very much younger than dumbledore, but dumbledores father was in jail! That does not make sense at all! Grindelwald has only lied to credence so that he could move dumbledore out of his way, credence is no sibling to dumbledore. n yes nagini was definitely not voldemorts mother

Honestly, even tho the film was good, and I liked the plot twist and how some characters developed, I wanted more fantastic beast. I mean, besides the niffler and the zouwu, there wasn't any mayor creatures. They made a big deal out of the kelpie, to appear for two minutes. The bowtruckle just appear in 3 or 4 short scenes and I thought that the baby nifflers would be more important. And there are several scenes from the trailer that are missing from the movie (like the ball thing or credence getting rid of the oscurial. I wanted more of nagini. Honestly, they should have deleted the hole Yusuf Kama thing and developed the relashionship between newt, leta and theseus. And the relashionship of nagini and credence.
What I really hated about the movie was that MCGONAGALL WAS A TEACHER. Are you kidding me? They really messed up. And the fact that newt didn't met flamel. They really missed an opportunity there.

Regarding the theory that Nagini is Tom Riddle's mother. No- not without a lot of retconning. Tom Marvolo Riddle is the son of Maripee Gaunt and Tom Riddle (Sr) - a muggle. Maripee is the daughter of Marvolo Riddle. Marvolo Riddle is the last remaining relative of Salazar Slytherin. Maripee used a love potion on Tom Riddle Sr and became pregnant with Tom Marvolo Riddle (Lord Voldemort. As he was conceived with the use of a love potion, it rendered him unable to feel love. It wasn't until many years later (after Harry's parents' death and the Chamber of Secrets was reopened/Professor Quirrell's death) that Wormtail encountered Tom Riddle in the Albanian forest and Nagini was created as the 7th horcrux.

small details you missed they are not small and if you have seen the harry potter movies or read the books, most people would recognize most of this if not all, but a few things
1. Nagini is not tom riddles mother, Merope Riddle is
2. Credence is most likely not a dumbledore, because we would most likely have heard of him in the movies or books, we know albus dumbledore had one sister and a brother, his sister was killed and we meet his brother in the movies/books. the reason he gave credence that name (in my opinion) was to manipulate him.
3. harry potter fans are not poring over the books to find information because it's not needed. at least not from what is shown in this video

Eh, Aurelius is Ariana's son after she'd been raped and caused the lover's fallout, McGonagall in this movie is not the McGonagall we know (her mother perhaps, that'd explain the timeline, and Nagini just lost her mind after the curse took hold. Maybe, it's all just theory right now. but what's dissapointing is how this film presented, too much plot twist only Potterhead like me could love, and not enough things to hold on for more mainstream audience. The first fantastic beast does it better. Shame, there's so much potential for the storytelling and the actors. And yes, i think Johnny Depp saves what's left of this movie, despite what media tried to tell us what to think about his personal life.

So no one noticed one major mistake regarding Hogwarts itself?
In the philosophers stone, the courtyard outside the Great Hall was enclosed. The only entrance from the outside was from the Boat House.
In the Deathly Hollows, a bridge waa constructed, connecting the outside to the courtyard.
If this movie takes place in the past, then that bridge should not have existed.
Apart from that the owls in the Ministry of Magic was a reference to how they used owls in the past, but changed to flying paper because they made such a mess.
Nicholas Flamel's appearance including the Philosopher's Stone was just perfect. Too bad, we already knew he was going to die at some point.
