The Ending Of Fantastic Beasts The Crimes of Grindelwald Explained Akshay: I think Credence is either the SON of Albus or Aberforth Dumbledore and not his brother. It is because of the fact that Albus was Leta Lestrange's teacher and the woman from whom Credence(AURELIUS) was taken away as a baby looked similar to Dumbledore's age at the time the baby was exchanged. So either Albus or Aberforth got married or was in a secret relationship with a woman and Credence is the result. Still worried as to why the woman in the ship did not use magic to save the kid(the exchanged kid/Leta's brother) while drowning, so it might be a possibility that whose ever kid Credence was, the mother was running away or the mother is a muggle or had a bad relationship with one of the Dumbledore's or was simply trying to hide Credence knowing he might become an obscurus and trying to shut him completely away from the magic world(THERE IS ALSO A POSSIBILITY THAT CREDENCE IS ARIANA DUMBLEDORE'S SON TOO BECAUSE THE KID WAS MAY BE BEING TAKEN AWAY AFTER ARIANA'S DEATH)

It is very unfortunate that this movie could never catch a break. Whether it be Johnny Depp's involvement as Grindelwald or Nagini being portrayed by a Korean woman or even how poorly the movie was received after it was released people would always find something to complain about. Now having seen the movie for a second time with a better understanding of the plot I feel as though the Crimes of Grindelwald deserves more credit then what it has been given. It is not perfect. It has its flaws and weaker moments yes, but it was better than what everybody has made it out to be. I personally enjoyed it immensely and I thought that Johnny Depp's performance as Grindelwald was outstanding and I am very much looking forward to seeing where the story goes from here in the future installments.

The thing is Credence has to be a Dumbledore as he has had the Phoenix with him for so long ( though he didnt know what the baby bird was, and the birds known as Phoenix do not serve people in this manner on any regular basis so it cant be just a coincidence.
This specific Phoenix, and I do believe it is Faust as a Phoenix never dies but continues to be reborn, chooses to be a companion to the Dumbledore family. ( Dumbledore said this himself in the Harry Potter series.
There is no way that he would be accompanying Credence if he was not of the Dumbledore line. ( watching over him maybe, as Faust will be there for the family member in need if u remember correctly, and Albus is doing ok on his own so wouldnt need Faust as badly as Credence would.

You know what they say, before was better and the more the cinema industry evolve the more unoriginal plot we get. So of course the 2000 gen will love this movie as a child, the child don't have a sense of critique and the same perception as a grown up adult, plus there is the factor of nostalgia behind it. But if we HP and FB then we can already notice that the HP have a plot and FB is more about doing stuff and unecessary subplots. J. K Rowling use the HP notoriety for cash grab and doesn't care anymore, the same shit is happening with star wars, jurassic world and heck even Dragon ball super with Toriyama who do the story. Even genius like Toriyama and Rowling can fail

I think this doesn't tell properly why Newt didn't want to take a side. For him to have taken the side he would have been on as he had made mention that he was not in league with Grindelwald in the first movie. He was being told that to take a side, he was going to have to murder a kid that he wanted to save. Newt even asked during his hearing to have his international travel reinstated if the only option was to kill the boy, and they said yes. After, he even agreed to help Dumbledore against Grindelwald. When he chose his side, his actions were to protect the ones he cared about and NOT killing anyone.

Percival Graves and Percival Dumbledore are the same person. Dumbledore escapes Azkaban with the Phoenix that comes to him ( the legend how a Phoenix will help a dumbledore in need ) to get revenge on Grindelwald. But meets a woman and bears a son. Dumbledore takes her name graves and joins the MACUSA as Percival Graves to help capture Grindelwald. Grindelwald however ends up killing him and finds out about his son. It explains why Grindelwald is the only one who knows about him.

When Rowling broke the news that Dumbledore was gay I hated it. Not because I hate gays, but because it was barely alluded to in seven books and came off as her wanting to score some progressive points. And here we have the same problem: a film that features both Dumbledore and Grindlewald and yet makes very little of their relationship. I would barely know that the man was gay based on this except for a few nods here and there. Wasted opportunity.

3rd act was the better part of the film. Everything else was poorly paced, littered in dialogue heavy scenes that are just there to explain the plot and flashback after flashback. Definitely fun and gorgeous visuals to immerse yourself, but then suddenly holts and becomings incredibly boring. A low for JK Rowling, you can see what she was trying to do, but David Yates and the rest of the cast were pulled down by her unfortunate poor script.

Credence is Albus's cousin. Percival Dumbledore must have had a brother, who either died in the sinking, or died beforehand and his wife died in the sinking. It was thought that their son also died, but due to being swapped by Leta Lestrange, he survived. His father would have been a Dumbledore, so Gellert Grindelwald was telling Credence the truth.
