4 Best And 4 Worst Things In Fantastic Beasts The Crimes Of Grindelwald
video description
- first! I think the family drama was amazing, besides! If you don't have drama and compelling characters in your story, then you'll have a boring one.
- second! I'll give you that one, Nagini was a little pointless but Hey! This is J. K. Rowling we're talking about! And we know she's not that lazy about characters, just check the whole Harry Potter book/film series or the first Fantastic Beasts movie, so maybe we'll get more in Fantastic Beasts 3.
- third! QUEENIE DOES HAVE A REASON TO BECOME EVIL! SHE WANTS TO MARRY JACOB BECAUSE HE'S THE ONLY ONE THAT SHE LOVED, LIKE SHE SAID IN THE FIRST MOVIE TO JACOB: 'I will never find anyone like you'
BUT SHE CAN'T MARRY HIM BECAUSE SHE'S AN AMERICAN WITCH AND AMERICAN WIZARDS AND WITCHES CANNOT MARRY MUGGLES/NO-MAJS UNLIKE THE BRITISH WIZARDS AND WITCHES! SO THEREFORE THIS CREATES A PROBLEM FOR QUEENIE, and I know you're probably gonna said that why didn't she moved to England to marry Jacob? But HEY! THE BRITISH MINISTRY OF MAGIC DOESN'T CONTROL HER, MACUSA DOES! (that's the American Ministry of Magic if you don't know) AND BESIDES JACOB HAS A BAKERY IN NEW-YORK, A JOB HE ALWAYS WANTS. SO THAT'S WHY QUEENIE TURN EVIL BECAUSE WHEN GRINDELWALD TOLD HER: 'love, freely' THIS GIVES SOME HOPE TO QUEENIE BECAUSE SHE CAN FINALLY MARRY JACOB! SEE, WHAT I MEAN!
-fourth! Grindelwald needs to show the Holocaust to see what the Muggles will done in the future, because he's manipulating all of his followers to join him and sees that he is the answer!

I loved the movie, but the only bad point for me was that they focused on so much characters and so little on the main character. We have been told that Newt won't be the main in every movie, but for me that's a bad choice. We know what happens with Grindelwald and Dumbledore, so I actually think it's an amazing idea to tell the story that we already know from a 2nd point of view. Also, the way Newt saves the world is incredibly creative for the Harry Potter world. We've seen all harry potter characters fight the same way. Some expelliarmus/avada kedavra/crucius/expecto patronum here, then Neville finds an herb that saves the day, then Hermione finds the receipt for a potion, yeah, fine. But finding strenght in a bond between you and your animals? Seriously, I find it so interesting and it explores magic so much more than with their wands. This not to mention that it's fascinating how they managed to bring such an amazing character when he's totally off from Hollywood's male protagonist stereotype.
I'm actually scared the reason they are leaving Newt for the secondary plot is because of people's hating their character. I really think that Newt is the most creative character in a very long time for Hollywood, and I'm totally in love with this saga, just for his character.

Hm this was an interesting film when I came out I said that it was average and after a few days I still saw it as average. However what is absolutely positive is the obviously better story telling unlike the first film's; introducing interesting new characters (Nagini, Leta Lestrange, Thesyus) well, giving more information why Dumbledore avoids Grindelwald, Grindelwald being very similar to today's populist politicians by telling good things to his followers and acting like that actually the opposing side is the aggressor and shows that how much smarter he is than Voldemort (prefering manipulation over sheer force. For me he and Dumbledore are the two best characters from the film and shows that how balanced their match-up truly is. Where the movie sucks for me is Quennie's and Credence's dumb decision. I mean come on both of them know what Grindelwald did in New York. and introducing Mcgonagall which is against the canon's timeline with 20-30 years. I wanted a bit more Dumbledore in this film and a rising plan of how to stop Grindelwald, but we saw that again how disorganised the wizarding world again when it has to step up decisively. In the end I say that this was a good film for a second instalment and I can see where the story is going unlike e. g. Star Wars.

Honestly I think queenie is acting under the imperiors curse. I know theres still good in her, and the WW2 scene was completely apropiate its set in the 40s and it probably fits with the wizards being exposed thing. And its the start of the first wizarding war, I also notice that they kind of pulled a last Jedi with credences character but I also think grindlewalds lying but at the same time the power he has must be the same power arianna had. It was said that arianna has really powerful magic and could not even attend hogwarts with albus and aberforth. I believe they are twins and they found out credence had insane power as a baby and was also sent to America to be hidden from the dangers. Then the switch happened.

The film was terrible. Just walking and talking for 95% of the movie. Oh, you think Johnny Dep is the main villain and will have badass villain moments? Think again. You think dumbledore will finally handle his own business? Nope, just like Harry, Newt did his quests for him. You think there's going to be a badass fight scene at the end? Mayb the next movie. One more thing, so many useless characters in this film wasting screen time for things the audience doesn't need to see. Going by the film Newt is the most powerful wizard cause he has his Pokemon's to save the day. Every. single. time. 4/10 for the magic, special effects and nostalgic music.

Queenie's about face in this movie was great because it gave her story a bit more than just the weird vapid woman she was portrayed in the 1st film. She fell in love with a No-Maj and can/will be expelled from the world she grew up in if she doesn't give up the love of her life. She saw how Grindelwald deeply believed that the changes he was about to do will help her and her lover along with their future family in the long run. She believed the delusion of a madman which is the saddest part of the film for me.

WB and JK Rowling killed the Harry Potter franchise with Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, as Harry Potter fan who grew up with the series ever since I was a kid, this movie made me very sad at how this wonderful wizarding world that was introduced in the first Harry Potter book and movie has now been completely ruined thanks to this awful movie. And this will be the last Harry Potter movie I will ever see, because I will be boycotting the next 3 movies and Universal Studios Harry Potter Land

Umm, most people don't understand the reason Queenie joined Grindelwald. You're wrong about her. She did have a actual reason to do what she did. She isn't allowed to marry Jacob. People like her aren't allowed to be with people like him. It's the law. Queenie doesn't care about the law. Love is love and she'll go to prison if she doesn't do what the law says. That's the reason she joined the darkness. I couldn't imagine anything else that she'd possibly do. I would have done the same thing.

Queenie actions were due to her love of Jacob. Their relationship is ILLEGAL and you tell the stress of hiding is getting to her. Imagine when it was illegal for mixed race couples to marry. She could be imprisoned for life! Then you are in the right mindset to understand why she decided, or was swayed, to follow Grindelwald. He promised her a world where she would be free to love Jacob and he also caught her when she was stunned from her experience on the street corner.

The movie dragged a bit at first, and there were quite a few story lines that needed the viewers attention (huh, a movie that requires actually watching) and seemed like over-packing, but things came together in a mostly satisfying way. Depp did a fine job, surprisingly. The Hogwarts scenes were wonderful, but this video misleads on this as it uses scenes from previous HP films, e. g. the great hall did not appear in Crimes and neither did that boat scene.
