Terrible TV Show Decisions Someone Should Be Fired For Melch: This was a very great list, overall, but I think the worst blunder of Dexter was the series finale. Since the entire show was about Dexter getting rid of his Dark Passenger, the fact that the first person he spares (because he doesn't need to kill, anymore) leads to the death of Debra is the wrong message to send after all of that character growth. All they wanted was to simply shock the viewers, which they did, but that's all that it did. I wasn't sad or contemplative about what it all meant, I was just upset. On a side note, Barry Allen and Iris West grew up together and fell in love, but Dexter and Debra couldn't possibly do that? I'm not saying that it was the best part of the Dexter, but I don't think it should be judged as harshly as it was. Maybe it was because Dexter was adopted as a baby? I don't know. Haha.

Now I may be wrong about this because I do not read and critique these shows as deeply as many of the previous commenters but I disagree with the argument that How I Met You Mothers finale was a waste because everyone except Barney reverted back to who they were in the pilot. I think this was always the plan because it fit in with way the story was being told to Teds kids. I mean its been a while but didnt Ted get called out by his kids for basically wasting their time to say that Robin was his true love?
The way I see it is this is a running joke of how the story is told and seems like it was basically a giant circle

Penny is low key one of the saddest characters on TV. She went from this bright and bubbly girl who was happy with her life and just trying to make it, to someone who settled on someone who she's said her love between them was 'boring' more than once. Her dream job failed, so she took a job she hated for the money. And to cope she drinks, all the time. Almost every scene she's drinking wine. She was a ball of happy potential who ended up getting nothing she truly wanted in life, other than being married to someone she knows is dependable and who makes her laugh, but would never be described as the great love of her life.

I hated that they simply killed of Ted's wife and made it another Go for Robin story. But why are you hating so much on the Barney part? His ending made the most sense. After all his countless one-night stands with women, he suffered the ultimate consequence: actually becoming a father on accident - but finds out that this is actually the one thing he needed most in life.
I think that was a beautiful ending for him and I'd totally watch a spin-off with Barney being a dad.

Um but actually Joey was better than Ross for Rachel. First off, he wasn't whiny. Second off, he accepted her for who she was and not who he had fantasized her to be. So instead of coming into the relationship w these impossible standards for Rachel to fulfill, he accepted her and her daughter for who they both were. Ross and Rachel didn't bring out the best in each other. They were like that annoying high school couple that couldn't let go and refused to see it.

I think you were wrong for the walking dead, I'm not saying it's a fantastic TV-show (it went downhill after the prison) but making it look like glenn died the first time was actually a great plot twist, and the cliffhanger was also a great move.
And as for barney becoming a dad. that is a great character development for him and it makes sense. Throughout the show Barney went from playboy to an actual adult. and the becoming a dad scene showed that perfectly

About Dexter - Barry and Iris on the CW Flash are adopted brothers on the show and no one cares.
About How I Met Your Mother - the only thing that Barney ever loved was himself, it only make sense that he loved his daughter that much because she is a piece of him.
About Friends - Ross and Rachel are the worst tv couple ever, Ross is a no match for her and the writers has gonne some distance in the pursuit to make that relationship acceptable.

I kind like season 9 of HIMYM because after the first few seasons I really wanted to see Barney and Robin get, but more importantly, stay together. So I automatically hated the series finale. Not only do the break up Barney and Robin, kill off Tracy who was extremely likable and let Barney have a child with some random chick, no they also thought it was a bright idea for Ted and Robin to get back together. A couple wich has never, ever, worked!

the Debra being in love with dexter plot isn't the reason that the end of Dexter sucked. They could've done some good shit with it, like how they could have had maria catch dexter and then we could have seen how the people around him react to the news of him being a serial killer aswell as him maybe helping out on cases and people really seeing dexter for the first time instead of the dogshit season 8 we got.

TWD ruined Jeffrey Dean Morgan as a possible Joel in The Last of Us movie for me.
And Penny and Leonard are not one of the sweetest couples, I would have rather see her with Sheldon, even tho now it's more like a sister-brother relationship and I like, don't like her with Leonard and wish she would continued to pursue her acting dream.
