Why We May Never See World War Z 2
video description
Dont believe me? Google it. Hollywood now follows marching orders from Beijing, China.
According to a source quoted by The Hollywood Reporter, the Chinese government's ban on films featuring zombies or ghosts is the single biggest reason that Paramount canceled the sequel.

WWZ for me was 3/4 pretty good. That last bit in the lab seemed tacked on. like it was where they ran out of money and had to throw together an ending. I would like to see a sequel, but I also think that a lot of people have some pretty high zombie fatigue. The genre has been rehashed to death and then brought back to life and rehashed again. Its also been quite a long time. that movie is pretty far in the rear view mirror for a lot of people.

Did looper seriously think comparing 200m budgets as a real way to determine success? They chose to compare it to Avatar, Titanic, and King Kong - all of which have incredible brand recognition. WWZ came out of nowhere with a relatively tired plot (zombie apocalypse) and still brought it decent bank. That's a success, more so than many other movies that didn't deserve a sequel and got one anyway.

It was my one of my favourite
Shawn of the dead
Warm bodies
28 weeks later and world war z
Then there is train to busan, it is hard to top train to busan
Anyway zombie genre is dead now it is all superhero movies and out of the box horror films that are in
Maybe wait for the right time, movie genre reciprocate, audience will ask for it when it is needed.

I definitely haven't forgotten it at all, it's one of the best ever zombie movies in my book & a sequel is needed now not later so the cost of the special effects & the cast's pay is beyond worth it & yes it's true that you've got to spend money to make money so Paramount needs to get off their lazy asses & get the movie done & in the theaters ASAP!

My memories didn't fade. WWZ2 is going to be a must-see movie
because zombies are always scary and funny when directed by the real crew. And as far as i remember Brad Pitt promised to his son from the beginning on that there will be a sequel.
Maybe even trilogy. Just look at examples like Resident Evil or Underworld.

Overlord was so much more than just a zombie film so shame on you for making it seem like it was just another movie on a long list of the same old shit.
This was a really poorly done video though so I cant really gripe too much that was far from the only tidbit yall got blatantly wrong.
Journalism =/= Looper

For me that film was a little bit too predictable. Effects were good and would like to see a sequel but it don't compare to the gore and suspense of other films/TV shows of the same genre. Would be interesting to see what the world turned into after the first film and how the characters have developed etc.

World War Z is one of those special, unique films that I can watch again and again and again and enjoy it every single time. Memories fade? Id love a sequel, but I honestly still enjoy the movie enough that I can keep watching it over and over and dont particularly need a sequel.

I think zombies are still popular just look at the zombie land series the first one was in 2009 and then the sequel was released 10 years after the first movie and people loved the sequel if WWZ 2 comes out next year I think people will watch it
