Ben Affleck Breaks Silence On Why He's No Longer Batman elzibiel: I readily admit I was very pleasantly surprised by Affleck's performance in BvS (a movie which, despite its flaws, I actually enjoy and own a copy of. I like how they handled his character in that one. Justice League seemed to take a step back and I wasn't as thrilled with the movie overall, but Affleck was still a good Batman. While we're still in this universe I've kinda gotten used to Affleck's Batman and don't really want to see someone else step into the character with these other actors, if they're going to be sticking around for future movies. I would have liked to see a standalone Affleck Batman film, which is something I never thought I'd say when I first heard he was going to be Batman.

I don't like Affleck.
He is a nice guy, but as an actor i don't like him so much.
But for me personally, he was
THE BEST Batman till that moment.
Not like Christian Bale's caricature.
Even Alfred was taller than him
With Affleck i had the feeling, that i am watching one of the comic books. He was Great!
With Bale and Nollan i had the feeling, that i am watching some kind of big budget parody
I still remember Nollan's Bane.
Another parody of that character(and Tom Hardy is one of my favorite actors.
And one more thing mr. Nollan,
If you say in the movie 10 times, big guy the guy will not get bigger than before!

The DC movies and tv shows just do not seem to get the characters. Bruce Wayne was driven by his personal demons to push himself to the peak of physical conditioning. Thats not Affleck. Even the older Batman was a physical beast, instead we got a pretty boy. It doesn't work. It isn't as bad as how they made the Flash though. Much like half of the DC universe in the tv shows, they had to give the Flash a quirky sense of humor. The Fastest man alive, and you make him come off as a dimwit for cheap laughs. I had watched Green Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow for a couple seasons, but the quirky humor characters just turned me off to the shows.

I don't even think Christian Bale was that great as Batman but it's obvious that people are so used to seeing him as Batman after 3 movies in a trilogy that they can't imagine anyone else I guess because he definitely would not have been my first choice. All that guttural throat yelling all the time? Most of the fights he got into with multiple people he just look like some drunken barroom brawler, not a calculated martial artist? I feel like the coolest part of the Nolan Trilogy was Heath Ledger's Joker and that badass Batmobile. Even the Batwing looked like garbage in the third one.

Ben is a dope actor, dope director, but I was a NO for HIM as Batman From the Start. I was Rooting at the time For Josh Brolin. but look who grab him. thank gosh cause we Now Have THANOS! Let Try Armie hammer. even though dont like what he said about Stan Lee. looking past that he be a better looking Bruce Wayne and Batman. my opinion. cause BATMAN never loses his Cool. JUSTICE L. Should of been like the Cartoon come to life. Clark Kent Needs to be Likeable Personality.

Isnt about the actor, is about the director. An actor was suppose to act, some of you might think Ben Affleck is bad but is just depends on how the scripts has written. Bale was good because of how the scripts is written, for example Bale was good for Batman, but never good enough for Bruce Wayne while Ben Afflecks Bruce Wayne was much better. Ben Afflecks batman was an older and more dark Batman. But most of it is just depends on the director and not the actor.

To bad his explaining was a work of fiction.
One Batman writer said it was the best Batman script he had ever read even better than the dark Knight and for whatever reason it just wasn't good enough for DC and they threw his script out.
He left pissed off but your not allowed to be angry or bitter as an actor or companies won't work with you.
Thus he wasn't satisfied with the script suddenly lol

Ben affleck could have been a perfect batman with that body, and also his passion for the role the problem is dceu, unlike marvel they all made a origin movie before a team up movie thats why ben can't portray what kind of batman will he show in the stand alone film, and with a better suit as well because in batman v superman he was kinda fat and buff hahaha

I think the only problem is with direction and screen cinematography about picturing the batman character. He's badass just like in the warehouse scene but in justice league they buried down the batman and also the very tramndeous talent of Ben Affleck. He was the most suitable actor for Batman but DC direction and story telling, its SHIT.

Affleck's directed himself in large projects before. The Batman would arguably be easier for him because he's already familiar with the character. He left because he hates the direction they're taking with the DCEU. He just wants to work again, so he's blaming himself for his inability to prevent it from being a piece of shit.
