The Real Reason Disney Re-Hired James Gunn For GOTG 3 fanime1: I call bull that Disney was planning on rehiring him for months. Fall of last year, Bob Iger (CEO of Disney) did an interview with the Hollywood Reporter where he specifically said he didn't regret firing James Gunn. This was months after the controversy, so he should have heard all the criticism by then. This also does not fit the months ago story as at most, they'd have 1-2 months at most to change Bob's mind. Let's also point out what happened just before Gunn's rehiring. Gunn was hired in December to direct the Suicide Squad film. Before he was just writing. Then news came out in February that both Will Smith and Margot Robbie were fired at DC and that the film would be a reboot. Also, after the failure of Justice League, DC said they were going to restructure their films, giving their universe a soft reboot. Now you're free to do with this information what you will, but it seems like too much of a coincidence that Disney rehired Gunn after all this news came out.
If you want to know my theory, I believe that DC was hoping that Gunn would guide them through their reboot. By how much, I'm not sure, but they seem to be giving him a lot of creative control. I think they were slowly trying to make him their Kevin Feige or some similar position. Disney finally realized this and didn't want to give anymore power to their competition, so they rehired Gunn to prevent this. But since Gunn already signed a contract with DC, Disney has no choice but to wait for him to finish Suicide Squad. Again, this is just a theory. I have no proof but connecting the dots, this seems very possible. At the very least, all this news about Suicide Squad and the excitement people were having for it definitely made Disney realize how much money they would lose by keeping Gunn fired. There's no doubt in my mind that it was all these reports that changed Disney's mind, not their generous heart and forgiveness. Don't be fooled.

Provocative? That's a MASSIVE understatement! A few of Gunn's tweets went something like this;
I like it when LITTLE BOYS touch me in my silly place. Shhhh
The Expendables was so manly, I F___ed the sh_t out of the little pu__y BOY next to me. The boys ARE back in town!
I remember my first NAMBLA meeting. It's the first place I felt ok with being who I am. Some of those boys are still my BFFs
NAMBLA stands for North American _MAN BOY LOVE_ Association.
No, provocative doesn't even begin to describe this disgusting person and his sickening tweets. The fact that DISNEY of all places, hires him, just goes to show how completely twisted these people are. I'm about ready to not let my youngest child anywhere near any Disney shows! Which sucks because a new Lion King is coming out, but I fear we're literally paying these people to molest and rape CHILDREN.

Most MCU fans and independent critics considered GOTG Volume I as quite arguably the best stand-alone MCU film to date. It reaches audiences of all demographics globally without needing prior knowledge of Marvel characters or the MCU. and without getting heavy handed or corny, the plot delivers a colorful mix of personalities all finding friendship, trust, family, gallantry, happiness, forgiveness and reconciliation, all perfectly woven in an exciting story line with a big heart and a mega feel-good ending. And while some find GOTG Volume II as somewhat lacking in places, it still had me leaving the theater misty-eyed with a lump in my throat. Yes, got my money's worth! James Gunn is the proven perfect story teller and director of both films and I'd be hard pressed to believe anyone else could get the story and chemistry right for GOTG 3. My 2 cents.

So a kids company, Disney cancels an entire show after the star tweets a personal attack, deletes it, and apologizes for it. All while most people were asleep. She gets dragged through the mud.
Gunn makes jokes about paedophilia and raping women, leaves them up for years, never apologizes, and only deletes them after he gets fired. The fact that they never looked for a replacement and said that they were still making the movie with his script. Proves it was a fake Disney told him lay low and let this blow over. Wonder if Gunn gets special access to Disney studios.
Truth is Barr is pro-Trump and Gunn is a good leftist. That is the only thing that went into this decision not what they tweeted, but on their personal thoughts on the President

James Gunn is one of the key people in the entirety of the MCU. The Russo Bros and Kevin Feige are the tippy top but James has cemented himself as basically the one who is the all-father for the cosmic side of the MCU. Setting up the upcoming Eternals movie, the Adam Warlock addition, obviously GotG3, and much more. He basically set up Captain Marvel too. So when they fired him it was extremely bad for the future of the MCU and I was incredibly scared that it would start to falter, especially after the endstone that is Endgame. Thankfully Dianey grew a brain and a heart and re-hired him back, hopefully guaranteeing the future of the MCU for a much longer.

What? Suicide Squad sucked!
1. Killer croc was pathetic in his emotion and physical appearance.
2. Characters were barely introduced very well such as Katana and Captuan Boomerang.
3. The Cgi was as good as Justice League.
4. The story made no sense but set itself as a mcguffin with the enchantress being the main objective.
5. PLOT HOLES THAT CAN BE EXPLAINED BY CRITICS WHICH IM NOT GONNA STATE.

Wow. Pedophilia is OK as long as the Make Believe Stories Make Money. What does that Say About US as a Society. FN Doomed. All. Around. Would any Father want James around their Daughter or Son. I Guess ok if the result is simple entertainment as the reward. sick Society=sick world. I wouldn't allow James Gun Within a 100 Yards of anyone I held Precious. But Hell ENTERTAINMENT FOR THE MASSES!

Idk how to feel tbh. I loved the first Guardian's. Soooo much. I hated the second. Sooooo much lol. I was kinda hoping the new director would return to form with the first. And I hate what's been done with the Guardian's in other movies as well. I dont think his tweets were enough to fire him though, of course. So i feel mixed.

Gunn is a massive creep, not cause of the tweets, because of certain projects/videos he was involved with in the early 2000's and even more tasteless jokes that crossed the line (even for me, surprisingly. That said, I can separate the art from the artist and damn near everyone in hollywood is an unsavory type as it is.
