Always, news organisations speak of our need to know and to need to know right now. But what they have left out is our equally great, and often even greater need not to know: because we cannot change anything, because the stories are too violent, dispiriting and sad, because our minds are fragile, because we have responsibilities closer to home, because we need to lead our own lives rather than be torn apart by stories of the lives of others who are ultimately remote from and irrelevant to us.

I just hope its like the comics but i dont like thish joker havent seen it yet but will when it comes out that and i dont like the look of the joker his suite should be pourple that and there bettwr be a orgin like when he falls into cimcles of thats not in there im gonna be extremly disspointed cause in every comic thats how they show jocker red hood into cemicles and later purple suite the red suite is shitty and not accurate in the slightest i looked at every comic and know my stuff so i just hope its good but those are 2 things i noticed besides that its a intersting idea to see how he became mad but when he fully goes mad its done by cemicles so that has to be in there but that will be all

The joker is madness incarnate, but all films with the Joker showed him doing crazy things as a villain, but this film looks like it will finally focus on and showcase the Joker's actual descent into madness and him eventually embracing his madness, which is what makes the Joker so scary and intimidating, he's a ticking time bomb with no limits and a splash of zaneyness, I LOVE IT and I think this movie is going to do the psychology of the joker (which, again, is the most important aspect to the Joker) justice, and I'm on pins and needles waiting for this movie to hit theaters and I don't think the Joker would have it any other way lol.

This movie is a fake origin story for a false character arc for a other world that has nothing to do with the comics culture and lore of the Joker. Comics fans have nothing worthwhile in this slanderous presentation of the well established Joker character. This movie should have been about a original character and story arc. The anti American white man Hollywood entertainment culture has already started attacking this movie. I dont know why they made this and it should underperform and then disappear into irrelevance.

IDK about this one. This is not the Joker I remember from either Bob Kane's original or any of the later geniuses like Frank Miller's Killing Joke. There may be elements of Killing Joke in the story but this falls short of Frank's visionary masterpiece. IMHO Joaquin Phoenix is not the right actor for the Joker. Also, the John Wayne Gacy clown make up is an instant turn off. It is the all time worst Joker make up EVER! So, IDK about this one. It's already bombed and forgotten for me.

Well. Trailers are here to sell us upcoming films with hype. Not only once did we get hyped to realise that it is not on par with expectations.
I guess they did a good job because they are literally the only movie I really want to watch this year.
I hope this movie will be up to what we can expect from it but having (too) high expectations is the 1st step toward getting disappointed.

The end reveal will show Joaquin Phoenix's character to be the father or maybe stepfather of Jared Leto's Joker, with Zazie Beetz as his mother. at least that's my guess.
Perhaps his character is not even responsible for Bruce's parents' death, but is blamed and possibly killed for it, thus making Leto's Joker seek revenge on Gotham and Bruce Wayne.
Either way, I look forward to it.

Is it really so hard to just take one of DC's masterfully written comic books in adapted to the screen? I don't care what the actors think about their movies. The Joker has already been portrayed the best ways. You cannot write a better Joker than we grew up with. Just make a movie with a classic graphic novel with the Joker. Marvel will never be able to compete with DC's writers.

Just my opinion and others who share my opinion, while Heath Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix's, Jokers are not competing, still, Ledger set the bar, and I highly doubt said bar will be lowered anytime for many many many years. That said, I am not suggesting Joaquin Phoenix's version of the Joker will be terrible. It could still be quite good and not raise the bar.
