this is why I'm glad I never started watching Gotham. I never liked the premise of Batman and all his villains being connected as kids or whatever. I was able to tolerate Smallville even though it was essentially the same. By the time Clark put on the Superman suit and cape all his enemies had been killed.
But alright. purple suit, white face, green hair, jacked up smile, for all intents and purposes The Joker but not The Joker. He's got a twin and the real Joker is out there taking notes. right. I'd be pissed off if I invested 5 or 6 years to a show and they did this crap to tip toe around some red tape.

Gotham has terrible writing. I've read fan fiction with better Batman plot lines. What they should have had was a very slow build, with young Bruce gradually learning his way around Gotham. That would have made so much more sense than what we got. If they wanted to pull at our heartstrings, they could have had Bruce have short encounters with his future villains as friends, people on the street, or just petty criminals. The whole premise of the show should have been Bruce learning to embrace the darkness and make it something positive. Instead, we got the monstrosity of plot holes that is Gotham.

Monaghan Best Joker EVER! Hands Down. The laugh, his versatility as an actor & his ability to command a scene whilst giving you the closest ever portrayal(s) of the Clown Prince Of Crime are nothing short of insanely awesome! The variants that he has portrayed in this show, clearly show you why his being the actor closest to reach the very essence of the Joker character should be undisputed. Respects to Nicholson & Ledger - who each gave you their versions, but out of all - this actor made me BELIEVE that I was watching the True To The Comics version of the character.

I like Joaquin Phoenix's Joker better. Even tho Gotham Joker is more comic accurate, I still like Joaquin's more because he is scarier, more sinister and In my opinion he acts more like the comic Joker even tho the costume looks nothing like the comics. But I have a theory that during the climax of the film Joaquin will fall in the chemicals and become the Joker, possibly he will come out and reveal his full bleach white face in the end credit scene. I know I'm taking a page out of Marvel but hey it helps to create a Universe. :)

People are complaining that this doesnt look like every other Joker.
1. Jeremiah LITERALLY fell into a vat of chemicals. Youre not going to get out of there scot free. Thats why the hair loss and burnt skin look actually FITS.
2. Every Joker is different appearance wise. Not all of them have to look like Heath Ledger.

So let me get this straight they can literally use every single character from Batman except the joker? But they can put a character in the show that looks, acts and even sounds like the joker but they cant call him the joker while the penguin and the Ridler are totally fine to use. Is it just me or does that seem kind of dumb?

This guy from the trailer is the joker. How could he not? If the series continued, do you really think this villain would be replaced by another Joker-like figure? Wait a minute. yes probably! Because that's exactly the sht that keeps happening in comics all the time

I think Cameron Monaghan is currently one of the best Actors to play a Joker in a Movie.
Because he plays so many great different Mr. J variations in Gotham. Maybe with Joaquin Phoenix as his Father in a new Origin Stoy.

It sucks that a DC series that is about the rise of the dark knight cannot use the name and likeness of the Joker, and that the real joker is somewhere out there basically relegating the joker to a copycat no wonder Gotham is finishing
