I was somewhat hopeful about this at first. Then I heard some nonsense about how Boba Fett wasn't actually a Mandalorian (some writer/director comment or some such) which prompted me to investigate, only to find out that both he AND Jango are no longer Mandalorian. They've been retconned into nothing more than an armor thief and a clone. It's at that point that I resumed my default FK DISNEY stance. The ignorance and disrespect they've shown to the legacy of Star Wars is astonishing, and frankly I hope all the shitheads involved in destroying it all mysteriously choke on their dinner one evening.

Whatever the critics have to say, this fan loved the pilot episode! The hype is real, it's really really good. It's not without some rough edges, which some people have already complained about (see Angry Joe Show) but even they generally liked it. Favreau and Filoni are definitely the right people to head this show, and they get Star Wars in ways that JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson don't.

Critics are an absolute joke haha. Who even cares about their opinion. Apparently 91% of critics claim The Last Jedi was a good movie. LOL. If less than 44% of the audience like it, IT'S NOT A GOOD MOVIE.
- Critics just say nice things so they don't lose their access to movies.

To loopers question emphatic no. As long as Kathleen kennedy and Rian johnson are part of Disney I won't buy a thing from them. Boot leg or nothing. Why can't they just let Dave F. Handle this? I havnt paid to see a Disney flick since the force awakens. More over why does anyone trust rotten tomatoes anymore?

No full reviews online two day before release. Not a good sign. Other streaming shows like Dark Crystal Age of Resistance had reviews online a week or longer before launch date. I enjoyed Star Wars Rebels so I reckon this show could be good. The lack of any reviews is a little concerning.

I'd believe the glowing praises if any of the critics had ever, y'know, critic anything Disney before. This is just more advertising and maybe you, Looper, should have recognised that and maybe mentioned it in passing.

it's not hard, just leave the toxic identity white man hating poplitics out of Star Wars and write a decent story, and maybe even let fans of the original triolgy see the odd familiar face.
