Stephen King TV Series Ranked Worst To Best Shauna: Kingdom Hospital was actually really good. It really, weirdly enough, felt very Stephen King.
The Mist was god awful, and the fact it's higher than Kingdom Hospital honestly has me shaking my head. Different strokes for different folks, I know. But I can't help but feel like we just don't see eye to eye.
Like I hated Under The Dome as well honestly. Bored me to tears.
I prefer the weirdness. What can I say?
Sacrifice? Over old special effects? Don't you think that's a tad dramatic? Unless I misunderstood what you meant.

I have read plenty of Stephen King and can see why it is hard to adapt his writing to movies and TV. I don't think any of the books are scary (though its hard for me to consider any book scary, but they do tend to be very interesting. He spends a lot of time introducing characters and showing the good and bad in people. His monsters and villains tend to be totally off the wall and, at times, hard to take seriously. Those things can be very entertaining to read, but hard to put on TV without it looking silly.

i disagree with this list. Stephen King's works are fantastic. The Stand is one of my favorites, it used the special effects of it's time. you don't just stop watching older movies because they aren't up to date. personally I'm sick of all the remakes Hollywood is doing. Rose Red got cheated, another of my favorites, great story, great movie, and so is the Prequal. Haven was awesome. Loved Under the Dome. My suggestion is this. watch them for yourself and draw your own conclusions.

Under the Dome blew me away reading it. Ill stick to constant reader. I love his style and his imagination. I cant wait to see Doctor Sleep. I loved this book. I love the Shining concept movie from 1980. Ive read the novel. Way better. Just a scary adaptation. 1922 on Netflix is fantastic. One of my favorite short stories. Reading Lightning scared me to the core. I was afraid to finish it that day. Highly recommend. I think a movie might be happening.

The Shining miniseries and especially Storm of the Century are among my favorites. More recent ones like Mr. Mercedes and 11. 22. 63 are also very good. Season 2 of Castle Rock is surprisingly good, despite the fact that it's not based on King. season 1 from last year was just weird. The original IT miniseries is still far better than the recent IT movies

11/22/63 is one of my favorite novels, hands down. The Mini Series was different, in ways, but absolutely fantastic. The books are always better. This adaptation rivals that comment. Highly recommend seeing this. And reading it.

Isn't there a Stephen king mini series where Ron Perlman plays the bad guy in a ghost town, and he locks people up in the jail, but there's mining ghosts or something because the town is haunted? I liked that show

The Shining mini series will always outshine the lame ass movie.
Just a fact. The mini series The Shining is underrated while the
movie is so overrated.
