I get what he's saying but what he says is also an indicator of a much larger problem that America has. In America comic books are not taken seriously as literature just because of the format really. Nevermind the fact that they have been used to address a lot of real world issues from child abuse to spousal abuse to alcoholism. Racism and all kinds of other social issues also. That alone makes comic books a far more legitimate literary form than they're given credit for. The kind of people who have this guy's perspective are the kind of people who sweep problems under the rug, never to be dealt with.

Love his bitterness. Lol. I agree to an extent. The Marvel movies have gotten to the point that it is expected to see them even if they are all pretty similar, but Joker has such potential to open up the eyes of the arts. It looks so meaningful and real. Psychological. Granted I love some of the character developments that do happen in the Marvel films but they are so subtle and hidden amongst the CG and action. It isn't the focus. Guardians of the Galaxy is hilarious though and feels more like the original star wars films in their interactions than any of the sequels.

Hes right. Its entirely a cult following, so they can produce whatever trash they want and every dedicated marvel fan will lap it up anyway. Most of the super hero movies in the last 10 years have been absolute garbage. Predictable, gimmicky, cringey trash. Dark Knight was the last super hero film that had any credit, and this Joker movie will blow all of the avengers shit out of the water guaranteed. Like Maron has stated. If you prefer a film like Thor ragnorok to the dark knight. Then you are a nerdy man child.

LOL who is this guy anyway? Never heard of him. who gives a rat's ass about some third grade actor's statements. LOL. the fact that he feels the need to call out movies and fans who've done him no harm tells me about his minority feelings. angry bitter little excuse for a man, never will he be a part of that fan base that support MCU and that's probably what is actually causing an itch in his hollow head. yep the guy maybe a little harsh. but I think he's very right. Little too much stereotype in comic book movies these days and. just a tiny bit too many of them as well. Still: it's nice to go watch a movie that distracts you from reality. I mean, we do have reality for complex, intricate realistic relationships, no? So yeah. not his cup of tea and all but it's like me and mainstream music: why whine about it in the first place? It's not like it's going to change: -P

No Marvel movie can compare to the joker, you can have your expanded universe. I hope DC continues to take create these amazing one shots and elseworld style films, there is so much more room for creativity. Im sick of silver age goofy marvel characters i've always preferred the grounded stories of DC comics. I remember when every movie reviewer was hounding on DC films for not having enough comedy and jokes, you don't get a film like this with cheesy jokes.

From that boo to those tweets just proven his point, honestly. I've never read a single american comic books, although I do love and respect the art styles that always shown (browsing through Google. However, generalizing them to be man child nerds or whatever was unecessary. But I do get his point, some fans can be too toxic sometimes.

Well to be honest I reaaaally prefer R rated movies and realistic takes on the characters. but what do we have at the moment is the choice between Marvel or a shiity universe including Bvs and suicide squad! So you can understand why I prefer marvel! ( I love all sorts of comics don't be cruel to me)
