it is egons family. that is the same hairstyle Harold Ramis's had in the movie Stripes. that same movie is when he cut his hair to give us his signature ghostbusters look. so yep Egon had a family.
also, i have been a GB fan since I was 5. they were my childhood. and me and those like me. the 2016 one is not cannon, it is not ghostbusters 3. it is crap.
i plan to actually go to the movie theater opening night for this one. those few that know me know I never do that.

it cannot be it must be peter because he's the only one that had a baby as shown in the sequel and they say he is not around anymore because 1=he couldnt handle raising a child because of science and ghost busting 2=he was the oldest one so propably died first

I don't know if they are taking any of the cartoon episodes as inspiration but I remember an episode where Egon had an old farmhouse that he inherited from his grandfather. The episode was called Egon's Dragon I believe.

ughh this story sounds like the typical blah blah blah movies, parents broke, need to move their sarcastic bitter teenagers out of their surrounding blah blah blah. I had hopes but after seeing this I lost my hopes.

I missed none of these details. Only maybe two were tougher than the others, but anyone who's seen the movie in the last decade could spot a PKE meter and knows about the terror dogs. Sheesh.
