I was so happy when the symbiote recommended to Eddie to eat chocolate. Venom is a great movie that has little references like those to pay homage to the original comics. I wonder what the other two symbiotes were that Carlton Drake had a hold of. I thought one of them was Toxin but seeing that Cletus Cassidy appears at the end, it couldn't of been Toxin.

Im sorry but the symbiotes relationship starts of with Peter. Thats how Venom became who he was. Plus Carnage is Spidermans and Venoms baby. They could have made the film where Spiderman and Eddie part ways and call a truce, then Eddie moves to San Fran and becomes an anti hero. That fixes the origin story and makes it better

Now I enjoy MCU movies very much, however a key factor in why I enjoyed Venom so much was because it felt different, the MCU reigns supreme on the superhero movie list, and the style can get sorta tiresome. So venom was a really fun dark buddy comedy with one of Marvel's most popular character.

Sony spider - verse (or whatever it's going to be called)
Could have J Jonah Jameson as the nick fury of their universe i. e appearing and connecting all movie as he publishes articles on them and that astronaut better become the mighty man wolf and appear in the kraven the hunter movie

I honestly think psychologically people heard it was bad and instead of having a clear mind going in they're ready to analyze any little mistake they can find. how can you enjoy a movie if you've already been programmed by reviews to hate it?

Regarding Carnage, if I remember correctly hes pretty much Venoms son, well offspring. One of many. I dont see the film taking that route in the movie but since all the symbiotes are dead besides Venom they might not have a choice

The daily globe part you explained is wrong. At the dinner scene Ann talks about him getting fired from the daily globe in New York. You know where Spider-Man is from? And that's why they moved to San Francisco to start over.

I can definitely envision Venom chasing a terrified spider man through the streets of new York(or San Fran) in a future movie. They just need to think of a new way to make venom hate him. I give it a B minus.
