There are some parts in TLJ that were amazing that wouldnt be done in ROS. We wouldnt have the Krait scene, which introduced one of the more beautiful areas in Star Wars. We wouldnt have the Snoke throne room battle, TLJ had some flaws here and there, but I feel like there are some parts that couldnt be done elsewise.
Now one big complaint is that ROS is so dense that it shouldve been split into two movies. Personally, I see that as a closed mindset way of looking at it. I just see it as that this movie has so much content, its like two for the price of one.
The bait and switch with the different directors is a dumb and reckless move, but I genuinely think that it brought a new creative light on Star Wars that we will never see anywhere else.

Disney made a few billion over their billions spent to buy Star Wars from Mr. Lucas. However if they only had a brain and followed the plan Mr. Lucas left for them Disney could have easily made star wars a trillion net worth part of Disney. Instead the CEO of Disney spent billions of dollars just so he could take a dump on Star Wars and flush the most successful franchise in human history down the toilet. No matter how you look at it when your toys are in bargain stores and clearance isles your movie failed.

I'm watching for the first time now that its on Disney+ because I refused to give money for this movie. So far, omg, there has not been 1 single halfway decent scene. I don't think there has even been one scene that didn't make me cringe. I think this had to be done intentionally to piss people off. Probably the worst handling of any IP ever. Visually its decent but the easy part, the story and dialog, had the be purposely made horrible.

The movie is fun to watch, but there are illogic and rush moments. I didn't like the end of the movie at all. It feels weird since the moment Palpatine absorbs their dyad force and then Rey takes the Skywalker name. It's just awful. And the death of Ben (the last Skywalker) wasn't necessary. Very odd choices for the last movie of the saga.

So people dont lie the prequel trilogy. they dont like the sequels. i have seen complaints about how people didnt like aspects of the original-like the cheap costumes in some scenes, ewoks defeating the empire, obi wan vs darth vader final fight. so people have based their entire lives on less than three movies.

New Saga should be a story about a war between Jedi Order with hidden Sith Army. Not about depressed Jedi Grandmaster and feminism.
Star Wars is about Jedi Master and his Padawan. Its about Jedi vs Sith. Light vs Dark.
I really want to see New Jedi Order just like in SW game (Jedi Knight and Jedi Academy)

Too much retconning, the plot when you try to explain it doesn't really make sense. It's obvious that between reshoots and the editing room, what was planned was thrown out the window to pander to a loud minority.

So to all the fans who like the movie. Darth Vader sacrifice meant nothing, Palatine again. really, just makes no sense people, watch the last 2 movies then see this one right away. I was scratching my head for 2 hrs

I think it was a great movie for people who just love movies. The diehard star wars fans are disappointed because things are a little different, and I can understand why. Anyways, I loved it.
