How Netflix's The Witcher Is Different From The Video Game
video description
Only thing I'm confused on either it be book or game. Is why they both didn't die at the same time. Since I thought Geralt died getting stabbed in the back through to the heart. From Trying to calm an angry mob bent on killing elfs I think. Either way when he supposedly dies Yen tries to use her magic to heal him. But she dies in the process from using more then she had. Yet Geralts wish was to bind them together. Because the ritual would be complete after any wish. So the Jin would Utimately kill Yen or Take over her soul. A Jin can't kill its master so couldn't kill yen. If Geralt wished them to be bound together. So must been by Soul cuz at first it seemed like they were just bound by life. Which if they were then that means the second Geralt dies I would imagine she would to.

I just finished playing Witcher 3. It's the only witcher game I played so I was a LITTLE lost. Honestly. i think the show is better. More relatable and realistic. I'm glad they had a woman in the writers room helping them because I felt many times the game was too male driven. Half the stuff that happened in the game between Triss and Geralt and Yen and Geralt was so fake and annoying. No woman would ever say or do any of those things. You could tell a man wrote that stuff for just male gamers. The show. it gravitated to all viewers. The characters were very understandable and relatable. No annoying characters. I also loved the diversity. The only issue was not labeling the time frame and location in the show.

I'm Polish and for me all the slavic vibe is gone, I fought that's the good thing about the Witcher. But Laureen got different opinion. I still like the show(actors are great), don't get me wrong. But Cd Projekt Red did much better job.

One point about the silver sword being flimsy. This is addressed in the games. They have a steel core, they're just coated in silver, so they aren't any weaker or flimsier than his regular meteorite steel sword

Geralt loving Yennifer is according to the books. Tris didn't even appear in the first two books, she's only mentioned. So Geralt loving Yennifer in this part of the story makes sense.

Ehhhhh. I would say, aside from the swords bit, the games armor and fighting, in general, are far more grounded than shows. Nilfigard is the biggest example of impractical design.

I have played the Witcher 3 and watched all 8 episodes and I have to say, I like both very much. I'm all for bite-sized pieces of the lore to attract new audiences.

I made it through episode 3 but the Netflix show is boring compared to the game. Everyone is great in the show but there just isnt much going on for long stretches.
