2019's Absolute Best Horror Movies Nova: The only films I enjoyed on this list was The Hole In the Ground, Little Monster, Us, and Crawl the rest were not good in my opinion, just vague and sometimes gross delivered drivel. The horror movie Terrified, and Z on Shutter were excellent movies; I was jumping and hiding my eyes behind a pillow for some parts. I have not had to do that in a while, not with all the crap they're putting out, I mean they release a film on streaming about a cursed tutu, really!

Uh actually that series of books tales to tell in the dark, didn't become popular until the 90s nationwide, that book never did well until the late 90s and it was due to the children of the 80s who lost their childhood to getting pregnant as teens. It's wasn't even mentioned on tv at the time of the 80s.

No everyone saying Cats, it's not a horror film which are entertainment. It's only NSFL. It's not even so much a movie, as much as it's a torture device worse than waterboarding. I do need to thank everyone for steering me far away from that monstrosity whose darkest horrors I can only hope to never imagine.

Nice to know that Neil Jordan is still creating stuff. His body of work is all over the map. The Butcher Boy is one of my favorite films. From the book by Patrck McCabe (who also did the screenplay, it manages to be Idyllic, horrific and extremely funny more or less at the same time.

Wheres the horror in these so called horror movies. Todays film makers have no idea what a horror is. Older film makers also didnt, but they where way closer than modern horror makers.
Please make a video of proper and not so called horror

I haven't seen any of the other ones (now I have a few more for my list, thanks) - but I can vouch for The Perfection. It's excellent. I would actually call it more of a thriller than a horror movie though.

This was the best of 2019?
scary stories to tell in the dark is an awful recommendation and midsommar is like crp put into a blender, a total waste of time of a nonsense movie.

Midsommar was horrific in the first 4th and then spent the last three quarters being a really cliche travel to a distant country and make grave mistakes tropey film.
