People that don't like him playing batman, are those people that just haven't watched cinema at all and only dedicate themselves to watch franchise movies or as Scorsese called them not real cinema. Pattinson is one of this eras best actors, his performances in The Lighthouse and Good Time are top notch performances, but he is a victim of franchise movies because of his role in Twilight. Same happens with Adam Driver, he is one of the best actors of his generation, but people still judge him unfairly because of his role in Star Wars, and to be fair he showed the only good acting of that crappy sequels.

I've been on board from the get go whe Pattison was officially announced as the new batman. And in my opinion the physically of the role is not as important as the character itself. He's a very capable-intence actor. I think this batman will be the most conflicted and flawed interpretation hence-Pattinson. He'll be in good enough shape when the time comes but, we'll come to appreciate his acting more at the end. I don't know-and frankly don't pay attention to whatever he does off camera. I should say, not filming.

Apparently the Joker will appear in this trilogy. good luck. I dont know how you put him in the movie after all the previous successes and failures. Leto's Joker looms large. Nicholson, Ledger, and Phoenix are iconic. Hammill is great as a voice actor. All you can do is chase Nicholson and Ledgers versions. IDK maybe time will allow us all to be accepting of the Joker but please no Harlequin.

Forget staying in shape. I'm more concerned about this rendition of Batman. We all know the studio would sue the shit out of him if he didn't put in the work and we're all laying about in quarantine so we could give him a pass if he was too. I just think this movie will be terrible. And I'm usually optimistic about these things.

I don't think they should start Batman over I think they should just go on from Justice League and make the best of it, they think all because it's a new decade they can just start Batman over and over, instead of just moving on, The Batman Trilogy Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, And the Dark Knight Rises He was by far the best

I like him as an actor but he seems to have no commitment to the physical aspect of a role. Sure they can use a muscle suit and the stunt doubles playing thugs etc can cover for his physical limitations but he just doesn't seem to even want to try and physically bulk up; he isn't even in Robin shape.

I hope hes taking his role as the Batman seriously. Because if not they should find someone else. There are plenty of actors that would kill to play as Batman so the fact that hes acting so careless is a little concerning

Whilst I think Pattinson is a poor choice for Batman, he is in this interview indulging in ironic, self parody. It's a British thing, particularly the reluctance to appear to care about his physical appearance.
