I'm going on Legends continuity here, but since the Tuskens and Jawa's share a similar ancestor, a race called the Kumumgah, it's not hard to imagine they'd still share some physical traits. As the lore goes they both share the short and shrunken noses that the species had, from what little pictures there are of them that is. The Jawa's are likely furrier versions since they became more rodent like than the Tuskens who physically may have remained the same with some noticable differences.

I remember hearing something suggesting that the Tusken Raiders and Jawas are closely related species with a very recent common ancestor. I m not sure if it s cannon or not so, don t come at me with your righteous nerdy Star Wars internet warrior attacks!
