The End Of The Mandalorian Season 2 Explained

The Mandalorian wrapped up its sophomore season on Disney +, and within its roughly 45 minute runtime, it packed plenty of action, surprises, and huge moments. Spoilers for chapter 16 of The Mandalorian, The Rescue, ahead! The episode picks up as Mando and his intrepid gang of pals embark on a risky mission to invade an imperial ship, rescue Grogu, and defeat Empire higher-up Moff Gideon. In the process they cause a whole lot of havoc, including smashing through the ship's front door with a stolen Imperial shuttle, and dispatching several platoons of Stormtroopers. fanjoy: I'm a father of a 3 year old and that last scene with Grogu where Mando holds back his tears had me doing the same thing. They did such a good job of making the viewer feel the pain and fear of letting him go mixed with the relief that he will finally be safe.

This is the real Star Wars. Forget every other movie after return of the Jedi. Especially the last 3 piece of crap produced by Disney. I am glad that Mandalorian turned out to be an epic story. It seems like Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni really know how to do this. I hope they will soon grab hold of the rest of the franchise.

For people who didn't know anything about Mandalorians except that they were the guys that wore the big helmets probably would have assumed that the Mandalorian show as about Boba Fett originally. So now that he is actually getting his own show is long overdue.

The one mild complaint I have about Luke's CG face is that he looks exactly like 1983 Return of the Jedi Luke. This is set 5 years later. They should've made him look like late 80s/early 90s Mark Hamill, if that's somehow possible.

How exactly is she not able to simply take the dark saber from Mando when it was given to her, without conflict by Sabine Wren, the first time she possessed it.

The Mandalorian does not even ask Luke what his name is. And Luke or Mando do not introduce themselves to the others.
What happened to Where I go he goes?

Just wondering did the get rid of the guy mandalorian that was with the two female mandalorians just so they could have a girl power scene?

Said it before and I'll say it again, if you've seen a t. v. show and need it explained, you're probably not ready for t. v. just yet.

The Mandalorian: The Book of Boba Fett.
Chapter 17.
Din Djarin will just be featured as Boba Fett will now be the star.

I like that idea of mini episodes of separate post-credit story for the Book of Boba Fett after each chapter of the Mandolorian.
