This version had to be released. I have seen so many movies that could have been good or great die on the cutting room floor, change of writer, change of director, or just cutting the movie down to fit into someone's time limit. Ray Fisher was right to be angry about the directional change or cut down of his character in the original movie if this was the planned outcome all along. Personally, this was the best Wonder Woman movie I've seen since the animated movie from 2009. Even Ben's Batman comes across differently in this cut of the movie. This version of the movie clearly could have anchored a franchise of movies instead of killing it.
I really hope they rethink finishing Zack Snyder's vision and doing the other two Justice League movies in some form.

Steppenwolf- gets the stuffing beat out of him by Superman, stabbed through the chest by Aquaman, head cut off by WW, then head crushed like an insect by his own king. Mad respect because never once did he back down either. He was so afraid of Darkseid even when Superman jumped into the fray, he went after the Man of Steel with fury after every blow he took.

I think it's amazing how in this it wasn't just superman turning up at the end to save the day, it was actually about the justice league and everyone of them played their part, to defeat a villain they couldn't of beaten if they weren't together. Superman tipped the balance of the battle, but he didn't, and couldn't do it all by himself.

The huge difference I noticed was the scene between Cyborg and Diana, the darker lighting which made way more sense for that moment. Diana isn't shown through the 'male gaze' lense like she was in the original. I definitely enjoyed this movie a lot more than the original cut.

Warner Brothers / Media was trying to compete with Disney/Marvel which was a flawed plan from the start given that they started so late. If they didn't want realistic and dark they never should have hired Snyder. The new CEO is as short-sighted as the previous.

Agreed. WW finally got to show her real OP power levels and the world is better for it. She incinerates a baddie in the beginning and beheads the villain at the end. Epic justice.
