Some movies peak early. They blow audiences away with an incredible opening action scene or set piece, and then never hit that height again. Others, though, hold on to their best material and wait to offer it up until the very end.
That might just be the smartest approach to making a movie. After all, what's freshest on an audience's mind as they leave the theater if not the ending? A bad finish to an otherwise great flick can sour the experience. Likewise, a compelling twist or powerful emotional resolution can make a movie that was merely good outright amazing. These are movies that save their greatest scene for last.
