Movies That Were More Terrifying To Make Than They Were To Watch

It's hard to know how effective a movie will be until it's finished. Some dramas turn out to not be very dramatic. Some comedies end up not being very funny. The same thing can happen with a horror movie. Maybe everyone on set thinks they're making a terrifying classic, and then it ends up just kind of being a dud. That may be doubly true if scary things are happening behind the scenes while the movie is being made. For some horror movies, a documentary about the making of the film would probably be more frightening than the finished product. We have some examples. These are movies that were more terrifying to make than they were to watch.

The restaurant that you mentioned when you were talking about The Omen hadn't. just exploded that day. because it was during the Northern Ireland 'Troubles' and was intentionally targeted and bombed by the I. R. A. so that wasn't a coincidence specifically aimed at that film, was it?
We've never had kilometres on any of our road signs in the U. K. so the car crash that you mentioned didn't happen here - the only place called Ommen is located in the Netherlands where admittedly they do have kilometres so that was hardly a coincidence regarding this film and its location, was it?
If you want to talk about spooky events regarding The Omen then why didn't you mention the fact that two of the aeroplanes that the cast and crew were flying in on two separate occasions were both struck by lightening on their way to the U. K? At least if you mentioned those two events you could hardly make them seem to be anything other than what they were, i. e. the force of nature, could you?

I think that most of the time, if not ALL of the time the cast and crew come up with these stories to entice people into seeing the movie. They make up these tales with the hope that the audience will believe it and have a sudden need to see the movie because of these made up events. Either that or they believe the movie will be good and scary because of these events. I might believe these stories if they were told years after the movie had been in theaters and sold on DVD, etc. Instead of telling these stories during interviews while doing promotional work and tours for the film.

some actors can't handle their shi while filming horror movies, like silence of the lamb or shinning. the female actress had fears for the next few years, but as you mention abnormal events during Sci-fi movies, anything could be a coincidence

How do you not know that The Ring movies are NOT about a girl drowning in a well. She died of hypothermia and starvation. It took 7 days. Geeeez
