Small Details In The Better Call Saul Finale Only True Fans Noticed

Time travel, finger guns, and buzzing electricity. No, Better Call Saul didn't become a science fiction series in its finale. But it did give longtime fans plenty to ponder. dllemm: 4: 08 It sucks that the writers of both shows must always punish the wicked in the end. Jimmy has been a superhero throughout the series. But 96% of the way into the series they made Saul both meaner and sloppier. They could have had him ride off into the sunset, but I guess fans would have bugged them forever about that. It was nice to see him finally come clean, but he primarily did that to get his ex off the hook.

Breaking Bad Finale = Walter White has no shame and regrets in his actions.
Walter / Heisenberg is dead for good.
Better Call Saul Finale = Jimmy finally regretted and took actions on all of his unacceptable crimes.
Saul is finally gone, but Jimmy got a second chance at life.

I think you missed an important parallel. When Saul blows up his plea deal by saying that he was a willing participant, it parallels the scene where Walt told Skylar that he cooked meth because he liked it. In both cases, the speaker decided to stop playing the victim card.

He'll never change. Ever since he was 9, always the same! Couldn't keep his hands out of the cash drawer! But not our Jimmy! Couldn't be precious Jimmy! Stealing them blind! And HE gets to be a lawyer? What a sick joke! I should've stopped him when I had the chance!

Better Call Saul is better than Breaking Bad. They really improved upon the nuanced storytelling and character development that they began in BB. This was a great body of work, and Saul is one of the most unique and intriguing TV characters in TV history.

I loved this series but hated the last episode. No one would trade 7 yrs of jail for the rest of their life in jail! I don't care that it set Saul free and gave him dignity, etc. It's life in prison! Not even Kim is worth that.

The time machine is the art of movie making itself, jumping back and forth, it can go to any time and place and see the same events from a different perspective. Clever stuff, very well done.

One detail I noticed that nobody talks is about is that in one of his speeches about Walter, he repeats lines from Jesse when he is beaten in the hospital. I am noone, I have nothing

I like to think that the shot with the buzzing exit sign is the perspective of chuck, looking down on Jimmy, recognizing that he really was capable of change

I think Kim will visit Jimmy again. If her license never expires in New Mexico what is to stop visiting the man she loves.

I hated the Saul concept so I never watched the show but I hope he makes another nobody movie. I thought that film was great.
