Kidnap-happy neighbors, tattoos that everyone hates, and a finale leaving you wanting less. The smoke monster wasn't the only thing that went wrong with Lost. lawofgravity1979: Lost was incredibly flawed, no doubt. And it can get hard to get across to most people nowadays but for me it was one of those TV experiences I won t ever forget. The cliffhangers, the theories in between episodes - it was a truly unique thing that won t ever be duplicated. Binging it now takes away from the magic we felt watching it in real time, together.
I can t debate or defend whether it was good or bad but all I can say is it was unlike anything I ve ever seen before or since. You HAD to be there! And salute to you if you were

Alternate final season (short version): -
The Island was a huge spaceship that landed on earth since prehistoric times. Later on, There was a war between the aliens because some wants to enslave humans and some wants to free them. Some of them became gods for the Egyptians while some of them wants to free the Israelite slaves. which will also explain the anubis statue. The darkness in egypt was caused by the island floating above Egypt. The plague and death of firstborn during the pasover was caused by the spaceship's defence mechanism which was seen as the smoke. It was so technologically advanced that even the concept of space and time was different on the island. It was discovered by the Dharma initiative and reverse-engineered some of the technologies they found. In the end, Jack helped Jacob and the Island (spaceship) went back to wherever it came from.

I think the reveal of The Others is supposed to be that they are just like the Oceanic survivors. Lost delved into many aspects of the human condition and I suspect that the fear of The Others portrayed in the show feeds into our historic suspicion and fear of The Other in the sociological sense

7: 23 He wasn't being vague or confused. He was being manipulative. The moment John Locke saw the Smoke Monster he understood what the island was about, and used this knowledge to gain power over the others. He was terrified with the idea of being irrelevant.

And still Lost imo was the turning point of TV shows level in quality to movies, of course there were a couple of TV shows as good as the best movies like the sopranos but overall not

Lost feels perfect to me. The only filler episode was the paralyzed one, after which, it was reported that they nailed down the number of seasons so as to not have any more filler.

You know a show is great when people still discussing it even after twelve years.
Also, the scene when Vincent the dog lays by Jack's side in finale hits hard every time!

Lost was a flop in the last seasons because most mysteries were never answered and republican producers turned it into a religious tv show, which made fans disappointed

I watched 10 min of the first episode and said to myself. I already know these people are dead. I'm not wasting my time waiting to see how they figure it out.

Lost was designed to be a puzzle with pieces missing. Not much else to say about it. That's the shortest summary I can make of it.
