Season 2 was obviously pale in comparison to Season 1 and tbvh, I don t have the highest of hopes for season 3 if it s anything like before. I m very confused as to why these writers and creators are wasting their time on something they don t enjoy or even like. I guess the paycheck is just too good for them to leave.

It seems to be we have a classic SUITS think they know what the fans want and once again they head off in one direction without even talking to the fans.
Cavill was born for this role. Didn't hurt being and MASSIVE Witcher fan.
If it's true the Cavill left because the direction other wanted to take the show I am about 99% sure they should have listen to Cavill and his views on which direction to go was the better option. Recasting a lead is NOT going to work here. That is EXTREMELY hard to pull off. Spartacus did it because they found two actors who were PERFECT for the role.
Sorry but I don't think Hemsworth has the chops to pull this one off.
I think they just confirmed the Witcher will only be a four season show.
ALTHOUGH if they were smart and someone banished or trapped Geralt they could pull off bringing Hemsworth in as another Witcher for a season then have Geralt (Cavill) return in season 5 if the show managed to live on life-support for a season. Watch the ratings smash through the roof and just let Cavill set up the arc for his return season. Good or bad won't matter. They can just take back control and head off in another direction. The fans WOULD stick around after his return even if it was a lackluster season.
I still have no idea why he left so here's to guessing!

Superman is not even in a pre-production state. It has no script. No director. No screenwriters. No release year, they probably won't even begin shooting before 2025. Even shooting superman will take around 2 to 3 months. He done this before with enola 1 and enola 2 while he was still in the witcher, so he definitely did not leave because of the superman.
Henry said himself that he was committed to the 7 season plan on the condition that they would stick to the source material. and just last season he said that he was frustrated that he had to constantly keep pushing for a book accurate Geralt as the writers wanted to deviate from that. So it seems that him quitting isn t just that he's got the superman job back, but that he wasn t liking where the show is going and said screw this. which leaves me to assume season 3 will be even worse

Sapkowski world is actually very deep, it had a lot of potential to become next GOT and I believe many people had hopes for it to come to life but there are certain milestones that make fuller picture:
1) first of all they fired Alik Sakharov due to creative difference - amazing director with profound knowledge of Sapkowski
2) Demayo mentioned how ridiculously offensive were some writers to AS and source material
3) Henry has a track record of fighting with writers and showrunner to change scrip on certain occasions to follow books more. He was not making it for the money, his pay was much lower that usual, he just loved character and lore, and that is why fans loved and appreciated him, myself included

Watched three episodes of the witcher and gave up. It just strayed too far from the books to be enjoyable. Cavill was the only positive thing about it. I also don t understand why they felt the need to complicate it and confuse things by showing the timelines out of order when the books were all in chronological order. Season 2 was even worse I hear when it comes to getting things wrong with characters, plot twists and narrative. It s baffling because the books were essentially a blueprint for a great tv show. The Netflix series felt like it was trying to be a game of thrones rip off as well.

Writers and Producers at Hollywood are destroying every piece of art they come across lately, and it's really sad to see how they treat the source material because you know how well Mangas have been visualized in animated series and movies over the years. I know the animes are not perfect but at least the writers or show runners don't disrespect the works of original creator just to send some massage for sake of profit.

I'd rather wait 2 years, 3 years, I'd wait how ever long Cavill needs for season 4 of Witcher. I'm just so sick of people with money hiring workers to do shows/movies based on subjects they don't know anything about or hate/dislike the source material. These people want to make money, best way to make money? Hire people that actually give a shit and keep fans happy.

I hope the Witcher series gets canceled now.
Season 2 was a joke, an utter disappointment.
I mean, I know that Sapkowski is in for the money and he basically doesn t care as long as he gets his cash.
But Henry and the fans care. And that is the consequence.
I already decided after Season 2 that I m not going to watch further.

Henry was the biggest reason I was still watching Witcher. I gave first season a shot. Story was incoherent mess, but Cavill gave a great performance. I gave second season a shot, store was still meh, but Cavill performance was great again. You take Cavill out of this equation and I'm just torturing myself for no reason.

Probably a combination of the DC roles and writing problems with The Witcher. My problem has always been the show's writing with Season 2 being worse. I'm glad Henry got his Superman role like he hoped, although personally I'm completely burned out on superheroes in general because of market saturation.

When The Rock is involved, in my opnion, it can only get worse for Henry Cavill. Adam is lame and empty, just like the most things including Dwayne Johnson. Just cash grap. nothingwith tension or any story to tell. It is always less worth (haha, I dont mean the money section) than any community episode ever.

The witcher was barely about the witcher last season, like they just focused on basically every other character, it was so frustrating. I want to see the witcher not whole story lines about characters i dont care about at all. i was considering not watching anymore anyways but would have because cavill is so good
