For those who keep citing work schedules for being the Reason he left your ignoring all the other information out there on this. The Writers of the show are known to openly despise/mock the source material which for Fans of the Games & Books is a huge slap in the face and the main Reason the show is going off course. The one redeeming factor was Henry as the lead, because he was a fan like a lot of us of the Games & Books. He played the Witcher 3 twice over, and then found out about the Books, bought & read them. He was huge in even getting the Show to become a reality, he pushed for it. He was willing to do 7 Seasons of the Show no matter the scheduling of any other projects, his one request was they stay true to the source material. The fact that he left says a lot. Honestly IMHO. this smells of Star Wars, Rings of Power type rot in these Modern writers. It is a trend that is really sad, were missing out on what could have been great Shows that people have only dreamed could be put to film again like LOTR or for the first time like the Witcher. and all were gonna get in the end is forgettable half watched Series that most of us can't be bothered to finish.

It had nothing to do with Henry's work schedule. & it has EVERYTHING to do with the makers & writers for The Witcher. They HATE it. They hate the source material. They hate the books, the hate the games they hate all the concepts, ideas, & ideals that exist within the IP. HENRY is the ONLY one who gives a shit, while writers & other workers openly mock the source material. Henry TOLD them that he would be Geralt as long as they stay as true as he could get them to stay to the source material, they haven't, & he's had enough. - - & the FANS KNOW that Henry is a fan too, they know he loves & respects the lore as much as the fans do, & this show will die without him. Period.

I remember in an interview, that henry practically calls everyday about the role of geralt, he wanted to play him so bad that he willingly put aside other projects, and also in another interview, he kinda admit that he fights continuosly with the writers, that they think he is annoying, for a person who love the game and books, leaving the project that he was so eager to do really said something. And also why they hired writers whom openly hated the books and game to write the show, it just wasnt a very good idea(and doenst make any sense) unless they dont care at all. It is like becoming a kindergarten teacher but you hate kids.

Let's be honest here. They've already ruined the whole plot & there's no going back. We can't bring Eskel back to life, for example. Even if they fired the show runner & the writers, they can't repair the damage they've done. They'd need to pull the old it was just a dream thing & start all over. Then we'd still be stuck with the racially diverse, for no reason, cast. There are maybe half a dozen actors on the show who deserve to keep their job & those are all minor roles with the exception of Batey. As badly as I want this series to work, I don't see a practical way forward.

Yeah, that series is gonna truly suck without cavil on it. I forced myself to watch season two, because of cavil. He really was the only redeeming thing about that season. from other reports, the writers really hate the books, games, and source material. Is too bad. The show started pretty well. But now, it seems the writers and showrunners are intent on stepping on the third rail. And bringing the fans along with them.

Damn, you nerds need to chill, this will be bad rep for Henry too for studios, he's not even that good at witcher, Anya was the better part of the series. Yes he was a fan of the source material, but going all the way shitting on netflix of his departing will make them despise Henry, other studios will take note of this. Chill nerd, chill.

You cannot keep Henry he is the one who chose to step down, his scheduling has made it difficult when making the Witcher working six days a week. He has two to three other projects one is coming back as the man of steel. I myself am sorry to see him leave; but this is his choice, maybe later in the future he may change his mind.

Let me put it this way: I am 40 and I have always hated Superman until Cavill took the role. I don t know what they can do, but he s the only reason I watched/like The Witcher and the only reason I like Superman. I m straight so this isn t some kind of crush, he s just a great actor that perfectly fits those roles.

I have absolutely NOTHING against Liam Hemsworth, but Henry Cavill leaving is a deeper sign that there is something wrong with the show- and if your main actor completely bails on a seven year contract that he has been so passionate about up till now well, the writing is on the wall for those who know where to look.

It blows my mind that people take franchises like The Witcher, hate the story already written and rewrite it to something completely different as if they know better. There s a reason there is a fan base, people love what s already been written. Don t change it.

As a witcher fan I'm actually glad he left the show. He left a betraying toxic environment that despises what he loves and passionate about. Instead of suffering in the presence, he chose to remove himself from that environment.
I'M GLAD HE LEFT THE SHOW.

Mr. cavill contract had to be update with Warner bros it took awhile hell maybe it paying more than Netflix but it kind of disappointment to me. I imagine him staying for next episode but maybe that shat storm hit too hard too soon.

I wish that you'd stop ramping this thing up, Spoiler. Oops sorry, Looper! The third series hasn't even aired yet on Netflix so how can you speculate on the fourth series when it hasn't even gone into production yet?
