Napoleon Dynamite is the only time I have walked out of a movie theater. Roger Ebert said it is a movie that laughs at and not with it's characters and I completely agree. About an hour into it my roommate and I just kinda looked at each other and one of us said I hate this and we just left.

A walk to remember seems predictable. There's the jerk jock, the token black guy, the mean girl, the rebel boy and the dowdy girl. The last two start to date.
But then dowdy girl gets sick and dies. And it's not played for laughs. How does anyone recover from this?
