video description

Rating: 4.0; Vote: 1
These animated shows are marketed to kids, but these songs give all ages the creeps. For this list, well be looking at small-screen tunes with a sinister edge, giving younger viewers an animated dose of darkness. Our countdown includes The Cuphead Show, Steven Universe, Danny Phantom, and more! What song gives YOU the creeps?

My ideal version of the You Got Tricked musical number for a possible Loud House Halloween story:
The scene opens during one Halloween night with Lincoln Loud dressed as a vampire and Clyde McBride dressed as a mummy asking some bullies who are enemies with Lincoln and the Louds including his recurring nemesis Chandler McCann to enter the dark and spooky haunted corn maze set up by his family. As Luna sings the haunting Halloween track while playing on the pipe organ with the Moon Goats popping up in different places while also dressed as skeletons like Luna, Chandler and his cronies are scared out of their wits as they run through the corn maze screaming in horror when running into various spooky Halloween decorations and Halloween costumes worn by the Louds and their friends. They run into Luan Loud dressed as a mad scientist bringing her monster played by Mr. Coconuts to life, Lori Loud and Bobby Santiago dressed as vampires feasting on a zombie, Ronnie Anne Santiago as a witch cackling and flying on her broomstick, Sid Chang as a werewolf howling up at the moon and ready to pounce, a Headless Horseman statue, Lynn Loud as a horror movie chainsaw killer, Leni Loud dressed as a headless Marie Antoinette with Geo rolling by as her decapitated head, Clyde McBride as a mummy awakening from his sarcophagus, Lola and Lana as spooky scarecrows, Lisa Loud dressed as a wicked witch cackling while making potions in her cauldron with Lily Loud as a black cat, Liam Hunnicutt as another spooky scarecrow, and finally, Lincoln Loud dressed as a vampire and Lucy Loud dressed as a vampiress dumping blood on some candy-stealing bullies about to steal various kids candy on Halloween night with the two young vampires about to feast on someones blood, sending the bullies running away screaming. All the other kids come over to the spooky corn maze to experience the fun and slight scares, thus ending the scene.

Heres an older one, Imagine Me At My Worst, from the Charmkins special from the mid 80s. The big bad continually threatens the dancer he kidnapped, Dance for me, or else! One of his minions asked him what he means by or else, and he replies with this song. I thought when I was a child that the song didnt really answer, but contemplating it as an adult sends a chill down my spine. One of the lyrics says, I have an evil mind, as low as one can go. Ill sneak up from behind, and then, and then, and then, you wouldnt wanna know. It almost sounded like he was threatening sxual assault. Thinking about it now, I think I understand why that show didnt become a series.

One thing I love about Nothing Left to Lose is that at a couple of occasions, Cassandra looked like she was hesitating in what shed done only to steel herself and stick to her dark path
Part way through the song, she sees her reflex in the black rocks and seems a bit surprised by what she became
At the end when she sings now, I have nothing left to lose, she seems sad when she locks Varian in a cage outside
While Varians villain arc was done better in my eyes, Cassandras was cool.

I clicked the second I saw Over The Garden Wall in the thumbnail it's one of my favorite cartoons to watch during the Halloween and Fall seasons and true it does have it's share of creepy and dark songs but that's one of the many things that makes the show interesting!
And I'm happy to see that This Day Aria also made this list, For not only is is one of the greatest villain songs in mlp fim. But it's also one of the darkest songs ever sung by an mlp villain.

Honestly really disappointed that none of the songs from Centaurworld made the list. There are several dark and disturbing songs throughout both seasons
Obvious choices would have been anything with the Nowhere King, or the Elktaur
But even the Whale Shamans song about her taking the pain away from those who needed it, or Horses reprise to the same Shaman where she was basically ready to commit suicide and allow her to take away her pain

The only shows I've seen on this list are, Danny phantom, Rapunzel's Tangled adventure but I stopped in the middle of the first season with that inventor kid varian going overboard and the main part where I really stopped on was when meeting Flynn's former fiance still haven't seen the rest of the seasons after, my little pony and Elmer fudd and bugs Bunny which totally counts as Looney tunes, I never knew they made Halloween is Grinch night

Heres a fun drinking game; take a shot of vodka every time someone says ember in the episode fanning the flames. Youd most likely be 1) Peter Griffin levels intoxicated, 2) knocked out before the episode is over, or 3) your vodka bottle will be empty before the episode is done. BTW, the song does NOT count. Still, they say that name that many times.

I have to admit that What's the use of Feeling Blue reminds me of my uncle and me. After the loss of my mother and my grandmother, I was clearly the more openly emotional one while my uncle is more of the concealed emotional one. He wont openly show it but sometimes he lets it slip.

What about Don't Be a Worry, Baby from Infinity Train? The way they used it in the trailer for Season 3 as well as Hazel singing it after a CERTAIN SCENE. Definitely a good reminder of the kind of show it was.

What about:
. Battle of the Bands-Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks
. Jinx song-The Ghost and Molly McGee
. Lets Bring Back a Legend- The Lion Guard
. Bump in the Night-Scooby Doo and the Goblin King

I swear if this day aria is the number one Im going to scream from rage
Spoilers
Ok good. its just number two. in my opinion its not that dark but hey everyone deserves there own opinion

reply

Sure, it later turns out theyre completely innocent, but the Hex Girls song is super spooky when its first played, so Im kinda shocked to not see it on here. Plus its an absolute banger.
reply

Nothing from Centaurworld? Obviously, there's the Nightmare King's lullaby, but What if I Forget Your Face is so sad and dark. Definitely more haunting and dark than some of these pics.
reply

As soon as I saw the title I thought for sure the Hex Girls Earth, Wind, Fire and Air would be among the top 3. Its so mesmerizing, catchy and haunting; like a witches spell.
reply

You've Got Tricked! from The Loud House is Spooky, Scary and Creepy, but nonetheless, I Absolutely Enjoyed and Loved the Music, as one of THE Best Amazing Halloween Music there is!
reply

Under Our Spell should be on here for the simple reason that if you think their song is catchy, which it is, you are trapped in their web and it's too late to come out
reply

I hope that the comments section will motivate people to check out The Nowhere King song from Centaurworld. That series and the music from it was seriously underrated.
reply

You Will Remember is the best villain song in all of Nickelodeon. The lyrics are absolutely infectious and paints Ember's tragic origin so well.
reply

9. I also got Heffalumps and Woozles vibes from the song.
5. The extended version also went into details on Ember's origins. And it's even darker.

reply

I felt like is Scarm from kiff should have been in the top 10 or an honorable mention because it gose hard and the show kiff is only a few months old
reply

The Nowhere King (Centaurworld) should've been in the top five easily. The initial version has child voices but the reprices might be even creepier.
reply

Whats The Use of Feeling Blue? could be read as either
Whats the use of feeling upset about things?
Or
Whats the use of feeling at all?

reply

I'd argue that 'Wither and Decay' from Tangled and 'Drift Away' from Steven Universe are both darker and creepier picks than the ones chosen.
reply

I know everyone's said it already, but how the hell is Nowhere King not even an honorable mention! Creepier than some of these by far!
reply

Danger Danger (angry mob) is such an ear worm, and show how easily fear and misinformation can turn a group into an aggressive hoard
reply

Crossing The Line and Nothing Left to Lose are both wonderful songs and both sung by the actors, who are genuine very good singers.
reply

For the number one, I believe this is the ONLY time Bugs has to follow Da Rules, and yes I used the Fairy Oddparents, in joke
reply

Wow, not even an honorable mention for Nowhere King, when I saw this list that was the first song that popped into my mind
reply

I get the joke, but people who think operas never have happy endings. really aren't all that familiar with operas.
reply

Missing biskit family business song from lps and some song from powerpuff girls from episode feel me see me gnomey.
