He was just at the beginning of his carrier and even though CMBYN and Ladybird was filmed as far as I know they hadn't come out when he worked with Woody, so being a new young actor he must have wanted a job to make his living maybe. And at that time, the scandal wasn't much more popular, so maybe he didn't know about the scandal. However later he donated his entire salary from the movie. This scandal is older than Timothee and there are lot of actors and actresses who have worked with him and did nothing about it but you still criticizing tjis one guy.

idk if it's just me but the first time I had a great feeling about Timothee's acting was when he performed the Willy's monologue from Death Of A Salesman in the film Miss Stevens. Now that I see the recognition he's getting, I am just so SO happy people appreciate it: ') pls let me know if there's other actors like this that people should know about! :D

Weird how a performance can change your perspective on someone. Watched ladybird quite a while ago and didnt think much of him at that point. CMBYN however just made me fall in LOVE with him as an actor! His performances are so real and nuanced, they dont feel forced at all. I am officially obsessed with him now
