Remember these rules, because there are some things you cannot do at Disney Parks! Did you know that you cant be shooting video on a roller coaster? That you cant have balloons at Disneys Animal Kingdom? Running is forbidden on their properties and that you cant bring a selfie stick?

Ok, so for filming on the rides. It is allowed and I've got to record it on major coasters like California Screamin, Expedition Everest, and Tower of Terror at Disney World. The only time I've been asked to put away the camera is for Rock n Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, and any screen used rides like soarin. Besides that it is perfectly ok to record if they don't mind or if they don't ask for you to not record.

So long as your camera is strapped securely to your chest or wrist, there really isnt a major problem with recording while on high energy rides. Disney is pretty lenient about recording on high energy rides, unlike parks like Wizarding World. There are SOME videos that have been snuck, but the employees tend to crack down on guests recording on ride there.

The balloons and (plastic) straws they told me about in 2011 when I stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge. There, you also can't feed animals, or retrieve an item that falls into an animal area (but ask the resort to send an animal expert to get it, and keep curtains closed since cameras are everywhere. So worth staying there though.
reply

I would like to let you know they do have straws in Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World but they are not made of Plastic, but Paper. This is so if they happen to fall on the ground and get missed by the cleaning crew they will Biodegrade.
reply

1 these rules are obvious. Most of them are 'no duh' safety things.
2 you were wrong about the straws. They use paper straws, again for the safety of the animals.

I literally just got back from a disney trip where me and my friend had gopros and phones out. Been going since 2009 and I have never experienced a problem with it lol.
reply

Apparently, I read an article that Disney employees should never say I don't know under any circumstances. Instead, make up a silly answer if asked of a silly question.

Are you able to wear a mask if you are 12 and 13? Also can you wear a mask that covers your entire face (I may be wearing my fursuit to Disney for Halloween)
reply

I've ran multiple times at a Disney park, however not inside a crowd so that I don't bump into anyone, but I can see why Disney would impose a rule anyway.
reply

I find it weird that this video says they ban selfie sticks when I have bought a Mickey Mouse selfie stick from inside the Magic Kingdom itself!
reply

Even though selfie sticks aren't allowed at the parks, people still use them and it ruins things when they film parades and/or fireworks shows
reply

I bet things get interesting for families of more then two kids trying to explain to younger siblings #1 how the oldest can't do it anymore
reply

Selfie sticks are banned pretty much everywhere, honestly every park or event I go to there's always a big sign saying no selfie sticks.
reply

No selfie sticks are allowed on the Disney cruise ships either. Guests have almost fallen overboard in bad weather and when drunk.
reply

All of these rules make sense, when you're recording yourself at a rollercoaster you can drop your phone and hit somebody
reply

When I went to eat in Pandora last year in Animal Kingdom, I had a straw in my drink. So what are you going on about Ms Mojo?
reply

So I just learned this really sad thing that happens when you turn 14: Can't go to a Disney park with that cool as costume.
reply

To be honest, the only one I knew about was the Animal Kingdom balloon ban, but the others weren't really surprising.
reply

I originally wanted to go to Disneyland for my next birthday but since I'm turning 34, I've decided to stay local.
reply

Well these aren't surprising at all. In fact, the things you put on this list are completely reasonable!
reply

sure selfies, selfie sticks and balloons is reasonable, but adults not wearing a costume? That's not fair! >: (
