I think they need to keep it at one season. The story was in a movie like essence and adding a second season would be going off the book and just feel wrong. Maybe they could use the same thing AHS did same actors different characters and plots each season. Like what about all the Authors other amazing book. And I dont know how many 50 minute episodes I can watch of Ziggys daddy issues and Celestes independence. Like that could be a 10 minute epilogue at most.

Obviously Ed isn't a complete idiot about the affair. The way he keeps looking at Joseph and his wife and acting tense before his performance reveals it all. I was kind of disappointed that he doesn't make any confrontations on the matter because that's what the tension at the gala seemed to be pointing at but I guess we'll see something of the sort in Season 2. Maybe Ed will finally fulfill his fantasy of kicking someone's ass for doing him wrong.

okay I know I will be attacked but I want to see celeste mourning Perry. I know he was abusive but 6 episodes out of the 7 she was convinced that she loved him. separating from him is like ripping off skin so I really didn't understand how she was okay when she saw him die. He was her husband for a long time and she did love him so. I don't know. her not caring about his death really threw me off. It didn't make any sense.

I must be in the minority of fans of this show who doesn't want a season 2. I love mini/limited series and how they can tell a full story in such a short span of time. BGL was great as a limited series. It had everything. Compelling characters, intriguing plot, a rich mystery. It was so captivating. Everything was wrapped up at the end of it. It's a shame that TV viewers today can't be satisfied with a limited series.

I also think theres going to be something deep revealed about Ed. What has always bugged me and what a few other people agreed with me is that Ed occasionally had these sinister moments. If you look he quite often is leering inappropriately at Abigail and at the funeral scene she looks visibly uncomfortable as he strokes her arm. Its a really small thing but once I noticed it ive cant help but think about it

The Abigail storyline is a pretty big part in the book. A major part of Madelines story line anyway. We dont see Abigails actual perspective. We see her story from Madeline. I havent watched the show yet, but the book was fantastic. So much so that Im not sure I want to watch the show and have my perspective of the story and characters change at all. Lol. If that makes senses.

Okay Reese Witherspoon's daughter selling her virginity was in the book. And that whole storyline was to show that her character had a lot going on. Reese's character is a bit nosy and pokes fun at others, but behind clothes door she has just as much shit going on as the others. Taking away that storyline would have made the character seem a tad empty. story wise.

I never read the book so I didn't know about Bonnies back story, but the moment I saw the finally I knew that Bonnie must have had some experience with abuse. The way she was observing them at the party and the rage she had when she pushed Perry kind of hinted at it. So I hope they cover that in the second season.

I wonder if the kids will be in Season 2 because I checked IMDb and they're not confirmed. I do know that Iain Armitage (who Plays Ziggy) is now Sheldon in the Big Bang Theory Spinoff Prequel Young Sheldon. Meryl Streep also isn't confirmed but confirmed online.

One of the best things about this show is even though you're not supposed to sympathize with Renata or Bonnie, I did, they all had every right to be worried or overly cautious at times. Some of their actions were crazy, but some were justified.

Loved the show; the A-list casting, the soundtrack, the location, and cinematography; season 1 is already great, I dont see the point of a season 2? Itll just ruined everything for me imo. It is a short limited series. Dont kill me.

I'm gonna miss Alexander in BLL. He played Perry so well that everytime hes onscreen, I always get scared. The whole cast in this series is so amazing from the leads to the extras. Can't wait for season 2.

Am I the only one who thought of Nicole Kidman as Madeline and Reese as Celeste when reading the book? I see the way they cast it now but their hair colors in the book almost seemed almost switched to me haha

I think they hint near the end that Ed already knows about the affair. He just never wanted her to say it out loud. But he basically knows something happened between them.

i hated that it was a mini movie. i wanted it to be a regular series. so many interesting characters, it was funny, thrilling, suspensful loved the show.
