You can't help in which decade you were or want to born in but I so wish everything would have remained the same like the 80s and 90s - the styles, innocence, decency, respect, taste, music, fun, family etc. ughh just thinking about it makes me feel like I lose something so big. I so don't love how this world is now and it's only because of the phones, it's by own humanity and if they wanted they could have keep the ways together but chose not to and everyone go with the flow and make everything so tacky, indecent, shameless etc

It bugs me that people worship 16 candles. In that movie, a girl was assaulted, and basically rped-through conspiracy between the prince charming of the movie and the sweet geek no less-and everyone in the movie; including the victim herself, just gloss over it like it's a-ok. Of course, there are other 80s movies where women are assaulted (Heathers, also. It outright shows a rpe in progress) in this list.
It kind of makes me want to barf

reply

I didn't like can't buy me love that much, it was too predictable of the popular girl dates the not popular guy and it causes tension with all their friends, by 87 it had been done so many times, where at the end the shallow popular realized not too be so surface level person.

1. The Breakfast Club

reply

No way these are the top 10.
These are just the more known movies.
There were so many great 80s movies.
Nerds, Porkys, Meatballs, Police Academy, Valley Girl, Private School, Some Kind of Wonderful, Less Than Zero, just too many to mention.

reply

One film which should be at least been honorably mentioned is THE LAST AMERICAN VIRGIN(1982, the last scene of the movie sure makes your heart be torn out when the protagonist is left stranded by the his dream girl who left him for the bad boy.
reply

You put the Breakfast Club before Back to the Future! No, just no! I grew up in the 80's and I hated The Breakfast Club, it was so over acted and the characters were annoying and unappealing! Say Anything is so much better and so is Fast Times!
reply

If Nightmare om Elmstreet and Back to the Future are considered teen moviesthen Karate Kid must be a top 5. It has sequels and a Netflix series with 6 seasons. Epical movie. being watched by multiple generations

Sure. show slips from Can't Buy Me Love (an actual top ten 80's teen movie) twice, and then leave it off of the list. It didn't even get included as one of the honorable mentions. Major blunder.
