A lot of these included where people getting voted off too early but in reality that was probably a blessing. Aside from Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, the winners have not faired too well post-Idol. Daughty still become a top-40 rocker, tamira gray and Doolittle are Broadway regulars and my God, Adam Lambert is a machine! Only guy I know that could sing Freddie Mercury remotely close to Freddie Mercury.

Season 9, Michael Lynche performs Chad Kroeger and Josey Scott's Hero during the Idol Gives Back episode when the theme was Inspirational Songs. I could understand if it was #1's Week or the theme was At the Movies, but this choice had my eyes bugging out. Don't get me wrong, Hero is a great song, and inspired a fantasy music video with a Romeo and Juliet theme, but in no way is it inspirational.

I like both Adam Lambert and Kris Allen, even have many Kris Allen songs on my IPOD. They both deserved to win in my book, both very talented. Melinda Doolittle being eliminated over Blake Lewis was a joke, as was the elimination of Chris Dougherty.

Anytime you base the results on fan votes, things are going to go awry. It's almost a guarantee. It happened many times on idle and it certainly happened too many times on Dancing With the Stars, just to name two shows that use fan voting.

I was completely shocked by Chris's elimination. I'm from his hometown so we all were like completely sure he would be going all the way! We were all devastated it that's okay! Hes still awesome!

I stopped watching this show after Jennifer got voted off. I'm glad Fantasia won cause I follow her career, but I knew this show was not about real talent. And I haven't watched a season since.

Idol is a scam, the winner is not the best as this enables the record company to side the better singer cheaper. All they would do is say well you didnt win but here is a contract anyway
