They're not children. They're all college aged +. The only children on the show are maddsy and max.
They were in the books. We met Clary I think the night before her 16th birthday. And izzy is supposed to be a little younger than Clary. I always imagined just by a few months.
We thought Jace was older than the girls. But then with the revelation that he was the Waylands son. Jocelyn took Clary and ran when she was a toddler. And she thought she had killed her infant Jonathan when she left. Then Valentine left some fake bones of an infant in the burned Wayland house to fake Jaces death. Therefore both Jace and Jonathan had to have been infants when Clary was a toddler.
I have no idea how old Alec is.
Again all of this has changed in the show. We actually saw Clary go to a college/art school interview in I believe season 1

I've been thinking. Look, Magnus comes to the wedding without saying anything. But he doesn't have to. First, because he already said it to Alec before the wedding (losing breath and so on. Secondly, because the theme song does it's work. Notice that the moment Magnus comes in, Ruelle sings Stay with me a little longer, I will wait for you and Magnus stood there waiting for Alec to make up his mind. I'm not surprised that this moment is in the first place.

I am so pissed off that you didnt include the moment Clary overpowers the soul sword in episode eight of the third season! Not only is it a moment when Katherine McNamara truly shines as an actress, the scenes content is also painfully relevant in todays political climate. Clarys openly telling the Clave off for their ignorance and prejudice.

I still think Valentine should have gone down the way he did in the book. And Im not trying to be THAT guy who hates anything that doesnt follow the book. Its just that Valentine got killed by a fiery spit ball from Raziel and thats just. amazing when you consider Valentines character

This is my second time watching shadow hunters and my favorite moment from shadow hunters that I like a lot are clary vs valentine showdown, Jace is not Valentines son, Simon becomes daylighter, Simon drinks Jaces blood and clary creates her own rune.

The books were better Clary is annoying in the show but in the books shes one of my favourite characters and she did not kill valentine the angel did but in the show they change it.

I love it how well Clary took the news that Alec killed her mom. I hate it when in shows characters freak out at moments like these were there not in control.
