Cher would be the better Mother Gothel, not gonna lie. Queen Latifah recently played Ursula in the televised animated/live stage performance mashup of the Little Mermaid, and I agree that we need to see her reprise the role in a fully live action version. Merly Streep as Lady Tremaine? I'd go crazy with excitement if she was cast, though I won't argue with the fact that the actress that portrayed Lady Tremaine in 2015's Cinderella (her name slipped my mind at the moment, was pretty darn close to what the original was portrayed as

Russell actually has dressed as Captain Hook, so that would definitely be possible. And yes, given that Eddie Murphy has played a vampire and also was considered for the title role in the Candyman franchise I can see him as Facilier. As for Ursula. I would definitely say Kathy Bates. Especially if you've seen her as Annie Wilkes.

Dwayne Johnson as Gaston, then Kevin Hart would have to be LaFou. He would make Dwayne look taller, more muscular, and if Dwayne can hold back his own laughs, more serious. I can see both doing a great job if they did this!
