RIP to the extremely talented David Ogden Stiers, who voiced many iconic Disney roles! For this list, were only looking at the voice acting roles he did for Disney, so none of his live-action work will count. Weve included roles like Fenton Q. Harcourt in Atlantis: The Lost Empire, The Archdeacon in the The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Dr. Jumba Jookiba in Lilo &Stitch, Cogsworth & The Narrator in Beauty and The Beast, and more!

I know him from MASH all the way through each of his voice masterworks in Disney films.
I know him most from MASH. The iconic performances there set the stage for what everyone saw or rather heard later on in these films.
Clearly I was watching clips from the show when this popped into the suggestions. If you do not know him from MASH. definitely check it out.

I remember after I started watching MASH then realized DOS did Disney movies. I was surprised, as was my sister. One of her favorite movies as a kid was Beauty and the Beast. I found out from this video that he did two voices in Pocahontas. I knew about Radcliffe but not the other guy. He was truly talented. R. I. P.

I'm writing a story and developing a cast of visual models for my characters.
In watching this video, I chose David Ogden Stiers for a crucial supporting character. ; the male lead's father, well one anyway.
I had no idea he passed away. He was one reason I loved watching MASH with my late father.

just been doing a marathon of Disney films. Wiggums is a reference to Sleeping Beauty. A drunken lute player, he added so much to the character, without drinking from a lute.
There's also a clip of him working with Chris Sanders on Lilo and Stitch.

He made me hate Ratcliffe as a kid and still do, his death stunned me and one of his last few roles was Pops father in Regular Show. Even if they try to do more media with Ratcliffe it wont be the same. RIP David

I'll always remember him as Cogsworth and Jumba. Now Cogsworth is reunited with his friend, Lumiere. Both of them were also in Murder, She Wrote (as well as Mrs. Potts, and both died of forms of cancer. R. I. P.

RIP old chap - Awesome voice actor and should have been cast for Cogsworth not Ian McKellen in the new Beauty and the Beast! You'll be missed here in the UK.
