one animated movie that made me cry out of joy was nocturna(the animated masterpiece of 2007 not the live-action horror movie of 2015.
the protagonist was an orphan that was afraid of the dark and the monster of the movie wanted to eat every lightsource in existence, it was later reveald that the monster was the physical manefistation of the boy's fear and the only way to stop it was for the boy to surpass his fear of darkness, that moment where he realized that running away was not a choise and he defeated the monster by shutting down the north star(the north star appeared in the movie as a character)was amazing.

I know you said this was top ten SHOW moments that made you cry. but have you SEEN Rugrat's in Paris? Chuckie's whole story arc in that movie just broke my heart. Watching him stand alone as the other babies shared a special dance with their moms. his sweet and innocent wish to find a new mommy. the song on the plane ride to Paris (I Want a Mom that will Last Forever. and then the heartwarming ending where he gains not only a new Mommy but a sister as well. I dare you not to cry tears of joy at that.

To me, it's every episode that shows a Rose Quartz/Pink Diamond flashbacks from Steven Universe.
After finding out the spoiler episode that disintegrated the ENTIRE fandom, I wept with so much tears (I'm not sure if they were happy tears, sad tears, or both) while whispering M-my stars. She looked so happy.
